Need to shake this one off with a win on Tuesday & a decent performance too. We did have alot of the possesin but like earlier in the season it didn't matter one jot to the result. Not often the home team wins the match on the break but both their second half goals were scored in that manner and the first was down to us messing around at the back. I don't see why Tom should take the blame for their first (Andy K above) as he should never have been brought into play in the first place. The pass back was short and did not have enough pace on it (Titus Bramble last week at WBA). By the time Tom got to it he had been closed down & Palmer got a tad lucky but rewarded for his toil.
Plus goal difference wiped out in a flash.
From the other end of the pitch Hon Sec it's difficult to tell but he did seem to be somewhat beyond anybody else when he received the ball. Not, as you say, that it mattered.
Can't even moan at the ref today but will say their 'keeper was a tosser. Telling young Folkes to calm down close to the end of the game when he hadn't done anything having lost his rag with Harry O for having the audacity to jump for a cross earlier in the match rather smacked of hypocrisy.
Thought Chris Benjamin did his caus no arm when he came on. Used the ball well and looked lively. A plus point in an otherwise negative afternoon.

Today was unforgiveable similar to the game against Bath at home (lost 2-0) With the so-called experience which we are supposed to field each encounter it amazes me that we subject ourselves to nothing more than schoolboy errors. If Mr Doswell wishes to see more spectators at our home games then it is time he sorted out the obvious problems on the park. Speaking to some of the H&W faithfuls after the game their view was that we we in control for the best part of 70% of the match which has been our forte for much of the season - Can we at least try to convert this amount of control into GOALS?

Funny how Dos becomes Mr Doswell to some when we've had an uncomfortable afternoon. Our last 3 home league games have produced far better performances than today, so not sure today was that relevant to how many turn up to GGL? Crowd will be crap on Tues as Man U v R Madrid is on ITV. Somewhat difficult to compete with that.

I thought last Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Chelmsford was forgivable and affordable, but 3-0 at Havant provides more of a reality check. We built attacks down the flanks, and won plenty of corners (particularly playing down the slope after half time), but our balls into the box were not of the quality to trouble the home defence. Richard Pacquette was the focal point of our attack but if he's not getting the service then he ain't gonna do much. It was no surprise when he was hauled off in the second half.
As others have observed, the pressing game we're playing does leave us exposed to quick counter-attacks and H&W ruthlessly exploited that vulnerability.
That was our ninth league defeat this season, so we've now lost more than during the whole of last season.

Been a while since I've commented on a game here, but bloody hell that was poor today!!!
No organisation at the back (thought we'd got that sorted?) non-existant midfield and toothless up front. Pax needs to be fed a certain type of ball, which we obviously are incapable of doing, so he is a waste of space on the pitch (not his fault!!!). If we sign someone to score goals we can't just fanny around we need to supply him with something. He ain't gonna produce magical goals from nowhere!!!
Piss poor at the back, no leadership, no marking, no idea what the hell Havant were doing. But for me the biggest letdown was midfield. We looked to have a solid line-up, but we lost every battle bar two where Rivs got stucking and one where Dundo's strength was too much for them. Otherwise a totally spineless performace from a side training three mornings a week. Think Harry O was never used and Harry B and Marvin should have been swapped over after 5 mins as neither were getting anywhere! Marvin got into the game when he swapped flanks only to be replaced beY Leroy who didn't seem to knoe where the hel he was???
Simply poor and a total let down for what was otherwise an enjoyable day out (especially the QPR fans on the train home. Class!) Back to the drawing board for sure!!!!!!!! Can't afford to bugger it up like that on Tuesday that's for sure!!!!

To be fair markf it was his first ever post and if he wishes to refer to the gaffer as Mr Doswell i'm sure Dos won't mind.

I know from personal experience that new posters often get that kind of rude reception.

So that was rude was it Billy? Clueless as usual. And how do we know it was a first post? There are ways of using more than one username.

Look across the league as a whole & the Ryman, etc and you will notice that gates are generally down across the board. It would be interesting to see how the gates stand up against the same opponents from last season. We lost Woking, we lost Welling on a Saturday too to the weather and another local match with Bromley. Also the community day was way down on last season (it was a very wet day, if I recall this time). All these factors add up.
Sorry if this was your first post but I'm not sure after four years of succes that Dos deserves a bit of stick 'cos we played so badly yesterday. Remember where we were before he came along? I think he deserves a fair bit of slack. And I suppose if he can be bothered to drive up from Winchester and remember he doesn't take a salary from the club, perhaps he thinks a few of the locals we've lost might bother too. The stay aways missed a great game against Welling recently after all.

Yes I totally agree with the points you have made and I think 'Dos' is outstanding but 'glory is in the success' and we have made too many bad errors of judgement on the field in a great many of our games this season. Although the manager cannot play the game the players (particularly the experienced ones) should not be making the same fundermental errors which we have endured time and again. Last season we had a younger defence which in the main could cope (apart from the Woking & Dartford games where pace and mistakes were the issue once again). Maidenhead 24/09/11 1332 25/8/12 454 Dorchester 03/09/11 645 01/09/12 420

The Maidenhead game last season was a community fun day, and the Dorchester game was on 'Non-League day' hence the crowds as both games had promotional offers last season
