Hi everyone from Tasmania - yeah there's really a fan club down here - and we are proud of the way the U's have finished off the season.
I could not help but remember the last time I saw the U's in a SSC final - needed a replay - and what a game that was - 2/3 weeks after the FA Cup Final - on a warm summer's evening. A glorious win against serious rivals from the Athenian League. Only disappointment in hindsight was that I was too young (13) to kick on at the ''Leg of Mutton and Cauliflour" for post victory celebrations.
That should give it away - the replay was played at Fetcham Grove - and a highly charged atmosphere it was - we didn't like the opposition and they did not like us.
All the best for next season guys - am proud to still be a fan even if I only get to one game every two years or so now.
Tassie John

Your last SSC Final and my first !
Our opponents, Godalming Town, amassed 92 points in their division of the Southern League but still only came third and now face a play-off semi-final against Biggleswade Town.

What's the support going to be like for this one then? I'm planning to bring a few mates down to try and improve the atmosphere at the game. Are drums allowed at the final? I know usually they're banned but it's technically not a home game. Any ideas anyone?

I can confirm that drums are still banned, it is not relevant that the U's are not technically at home.

As we start the build up to the final SUFCtv can confirm it will be covering the match in association with the Surrey FA. We have been in talks with them for a couple of months to cover the final whether or not we were in it. At one stage they wanted the match to be streamed live, but we don't have the means to do it at present.
As we will be filming the match as neutrals, there will be 2 corner cameras employed, and we should have our new telephoto lens by then which should make the video clearer? The full match and the highlights will be FREE to all via Youtube just as soon as it can be uploaded. It will be the 1st time the final has been covered in video in full in association with the SFA. It also happens to be SUFCtv's 50th match as it completes its 2nd season.
A quick note on the end of season DVD, this is in production and will contain highlights from 40 filmed matches including the SSC final - 14 mins of never before digitised video from the 1963 Amateur cup final featuring all 6 goals - Dundo's disallowed goal at Dover - Highlights from the meet the manager evening - Hopefully some exclusive interviews. More details as soon as we have them.

Spoons?
If Godalming don't make the play off final is there a chance the tie will put back to Tuesday?
