Two of the best Under-18 teams in the south-east play each other on Thursday evening at Gander Green Lane in the Ryman Youth League Championship Play-Off Semi-Final so please come down to support our lads if you can.
Sutton, missing 8 regular starters and with 4 under-16s involved in the squad, won their 26th consecutive game tonight against a Carshalton side that included first-team forward Tommy Bradford, whilst Staines won their 14th game on the spin beating Camberley Town in their final Western Division game.
Entrance is £3 for adults, £1 for kids and OAPs, whilst season tickets are valid.

After going down to an early strike, U's battled back to lead 2-1 win with two Salama goals - one fom the spot. After the break, U's had a host of chances to make the game safe but failed to take any of them. Staines equalised when a long ball released their striker to thump the ball past Jack Fuell. The winner came close to the end, a fine strike that saw the ball end up in the top corner.
U's played most of the football but couldn't make their superiority count and credit to the visitors for scoring three good goals. Salama's second was a great strike too. U's were missing players but the lads on show tonight were excellent and really should be looking for a third final this season.
The curse of Frake & KBB strikes again. Are we banned fromm next Thursday's final?

Yep. Two fine young sides on show tonight with real quality in evidence throughout. Our lads will I'm sure be gutted as we had the chances to take the game away from a strong Staines outfit. Turning point was the equaliser to two all and I've rarely seen a ball hit the net so hard at the GGL end. I know it's been said before but the youth set up is a real credit to the club. Early opportunity for revenge next week. Jinxes permitting.

On behalf of James, Will and all the players, thank you to everyone who showed up to support us tonight.
Everyone's gutted obviously, but incredibly determined to complete a treble next Thursday at Staines in the League Cup. I know it'll be a struggle to get over there on a Thursday evening but please do so if you can!!

A very entertaining game, with both teams playing good football. On the balance of play I think the lads were unlucky to lose. I think the treble is well within their grasp next Thursday.
