I came across this site, whilst browsing on 'net! www.spendandraise.com/Having a quick read, if we register as a club on the above site, then we can gain extra income, if fans/supporers spend there hard earnt pennies via the online retailers, which you can find here... www.spendandraise.com/retailers/Then we may be able to make a few extra pounds! Just a thought, seeing as most people, now buy goods online. Thoughts..... Juan

Hi Col, I think this kink of idea was tried before by OS. I seem to remember it was called SUFC Shop. It may have been slightly different, but the same sort of thing. I'm sure OS would be able to advise how successful it was / is.

We have tried a similar system before but after some initial successes interest dwindled away, we probably still have the account?
The idea works similar to these cash back schemes some of the credit card companies use as an incentive, you spend £100 you get £3 back etc. Some Internet firms such as ebay pay per click rather then on sales. The problem is people forget to use the shop page to access their site, Eg they go straight to Argos and don't go from the special link.
The system still exists and isn't just for charities, but as a recent experiment proved with Blue Sq Bet where the club got a percentage of all losing bets. Not one person signed up to it, and that was a win win, so its not easy to encourage people to use the system even when you can't lose.
I stress this is not the fans don't care enough thing, its simply a human nature thing.
