Many thanks to all those of you who have donated any unwanted items to help people living in poverty in Gambia.
However, we still have more to do. The club is running out of storage space and we need to get the items shipped out ASAP. But the problem is that the shipping costs £300. The Gambians have raised £70 of this so far, but given that the average annual salary there is just £200, it hardly seems fair for them to pay 1.5 times that for stuff they could probably buy themselves for less!
I know we always seem to be asking you for money for various things, so we would be extra grateful to anyone generous enough to pledge some money, however little. Just put your amount on this thread or send me a private message.
I'll start with £30, but will raise that to £50 if need be.

I'll make up whatever shortfall is left after the SSC final.

Thanks very much for your kind offers! And if anyone else wants to, they can just hand whatever they can afford to me tomorrow evening. I'm happy to collect cash; I'll send the money via bank transfer.

I picked up £90 for Gambia tonight from you lovely people. That is incredibly generous and you should be proud of yourselves.
I'll be at the end of season party on Saturday for any of you who wanted to help but couldn't get hold of me this evening.
