The loan system.A system that allowed Watford to field nine players on loan in one match recently and a Chelsea player to score a hatrick for WBA against Manchester United though he is not permitted to play against Chelsea.

They've plugged the gap that allowed Watford to field so many overseas loan players, they won't be able to do that next year.

That's good news.To be honest i knew nothing about this until last Saturday.Someone at Sutton Cricket Club who was due to attend the Palace/Watford game told me about it and i thought he was pulling my leg.It seems incredible ! |

For some non- league clubs the biggest complaint is being placed in a league where your travelling distances have been increased massively. Most know the plight of Bishop Stortford last season. It has now hit SSC winners Godalming they along with Guildford City have been moved to the Southern league western division. The knock on effect has been the loss of their managers and many players just weeks before the new season starts. The Godalming forum makes interesting reading link here. |
