Hi fellas,
Chelsea fan here. Just wanted to ask a few questions about our pre season match with you lads. I know it's an U21 game for us but we'll be bringing a fair number as we have no pre season games for the first team in England! So we've all been rallying around to get as many people to this as possible!
What is the deal with tickets? Is it pay on the gate? Will there be an away section? Heavily policed? (I doubt it for an U21 game) Big attendance? How many do you expect us to bring?
Cheers all

It will be pay at the gate with no segregation. If you like a drink or two the club bar will supply you with very competitively priced beers etc. It is hard to judge the crowd. It does depend on how many Chelsea fans turn up hopefully 1000+ over half being Chelsea fans.

Alright bucksboy,
From what we know (although the club will confirm nearer the date), it should be pay on the gate - I would expect the price to be around the £12 mark, but that depends on the club. Usually for friendlies we don't segregate (we've not done for any Prem side that has come in the last 5/6 years) so you'll be free to stand where you like, unless you prefer to sit, in which case there is a small additional charge to the main stand (which ironically has the seat from one of your old stands prior to the Bridge's redevelopment!)
Police - I wouldn't think too heavy, but probably a few more than we normally have.
Attendance - tough one this one - I reckon into 4 figures going on the fact that Sutton and the surrounding areas have been "awash with blue" for many years now so hard to gauge how many will be locals and how many hardcore Chelsea will be there. We do expect a healthy crowd though!
Hope that's useful

OK thanks both. I'd be impressed if we took 500 Chelsea fans tbh but the surrounding areas are full of Chelsea. So it should be easy enough for all the Chelsea fans to stand together then? Would just be good for all the Chelsea fans to be in one place to get a bit of an atmosphere going.
We're probably going to go quite early and find a good pub to go in first and meet other CFC fans etc. Hopefully it's a nice day and all! I'm actually looking forward to this! Terracing (kind of)... Plenty of Chelsea going... good atmosphere.. New ground... A lot of Chels are really up for this! Hopefully we'll bring more than Arsenal do as well!

Hi bucksboy,
If you do meet fellow Chelsea fans in a pub early doors, do try and get down to the ground early enough to have a pint or two in our bar. Decent prices and a friendly atmosphere.
As a non-league club, your pennies behind the bar will no doubt be much appreciated!!
As well as being able to stand, if there is no segregation which seems to be what people are saying then you can also move around the ground at half time to stand at the end where Chelsea are attacking.
