Grays v Crawley next Saturday is looking a vital match. The Sussex side then visit Halifax and host Kiddie on the final day, so a real chance they will not pick up another point. Wishing no ill-will on my neighbours, they would be a good local derby for us next year.

It seems Colin Lippiat won't be in charge of St Albans next season. He's apparently been lined up for a position at a Conf National Blue Square Premier side, with a directorship at Woking being the main rumour

Can't see Woking appointing Lippiat being a great move TBH. Talk about going back to the 90's!
Have the Cards confirmed if Mr Ingram has indeed chucked in the towel yet? Or was that a load of old shite?

Crawley are a lot better than their position in the table, courtesy of the 10 point deduction. I would think they should be able to get a point or two from Halifax and Kiddie.
The question for next season is which teams will be the over-reaching full-timers who will win the league then will pass us going in the opposite direction in a few years time?
Billericay anyone?

But 3 wins in the last 12 games has left them in the mire and it's often harder to get going again when you start to drop (SUFC 1991 anybody ?) than if you have been in the zone for a long time.

Crawley are one of about ten teams in danger of relegation from the Conference - it's a real dogfight down there, and it's a good bet that at least one of the relegation places will be decided on goal difference. That's where Crawley have an advantage - they have a gd of +1! My guess is that, if they have to, they'll win their home game against Kidderminster - who have nothing much to play for and may well have half an eye on the Trophy final.
Grays are in a worse position - three points behind Crawley with a gd of -1. But they've also got to play Kiddie at home. If they can beat them and Crawley at Bridge Road they should be OK. But their last match is away at Morecambe - not the place you want to go to if you need a win to stay up!
There's still the fascinating possibility of Cambridge United coming down - if that happens then Histon would be Cambridgeshire's second highest placed football club (after Peterborough). Cambridge are a point above Grays but have a gd of -11 and only two games left to play. They'd expect to win their final match, home to second-bottom Tamworth. But they'll probably also need something from their match at Aldershot next Saturday - which could be interesting!

Grays and Halifax both won their games in hand last night, which means that Southport and Tamworth are relegated along with St Albans.
The fourth relegation spot is still very much up for grabs. It's currently occupied by Altrincham, but they could escape if they win at home to Aldershot on Saturday. There's a clutch of five clubs two points above Alty. The most vulnerable of those look to be Stafford and Grays. Stafford have the worst gd - but they have a winnable-looking home game against Forest Green, who are now safe. Grays have the best gd but the most difficult final fixture (at Morecambe).
