You'd have thought they'd have gone for combined counties league 1 rather than what is basically park football, if the level I think it is you have to rope of the pitch but that's the extent of ground grading?
Good luck to them anyways

It may have been too late for them to apply for the CCL.
Bit of a strange one for me. I can't see this being a success at all

You're right Chalmers, it's very much park football. A rope round the pitch is the only criteria for the 'ground'. I thought it ran adjacent to the Surrey Elite League but nope, it's one step below that.

File under "FC United of Manchester" - another timely reminder on how lucky we are in having our club run the great way it is.

File under "FC United of Manchester" - another timely reminder on how lucky we are in having our club run the great way it is. Is that the FC United of Manchester who averaged 1700 last season, who are about to build a community stadium in East Manchester (funded in the main by their supporters), and who missed out on promotion in the last two seasons in the play-off final? Because they're pretty succesful. Surely a more obvious example would be AFC Liverpool

its certainly a long haul up from where they have placed themselves but on the other hand they have got some experienced personnel in the set up. I doubt it will make a lot of difference to TMU who have been all over the shop for ages

They may be successful and good luck to them, but their constant guff about them being a phoenix club doesn't detract from the fact that they were born our of a strop at the owners of Manchester united. In that respect they are no different that TMW apart from they have a much bigger fan base to go from. Stan Churchillman, the new club secretary, has been on a mission against the owners since they came in. Whether he is right or wrong isn't the issue. As a passive observer, he may well be very justified in his position. The fact is that Tooting and Mitcham, and the history that still goes with that name still resides at Imperial Fields. If anything Bobbins were probably more within their rights to do the same thing whilst Der Fuhrer systematically alienated the supporters and started to change the club's identity

I was thinking of this thread as I watched a cracking 2-2 draw between T&MU and Guernsey last night. I was sitting in what I consider the best stand in the best ground in the Ryman League, chomping some nosh from the best fast food shop (range, quality, price) in football (albeit I've only been to 551 grounds). Entrance only 5 quid. Incidentally, a big extension to the club facilities is being built.
What exactly did these people find that was so wrong?

I would be interested in their response.

If you mean the forum attached to their Pitcheroo site, I'd be their first poster!
