Other than our rather good set of pre-season games is anybody filling their time with random friendlies?
This Sat has a few decent matches... Whitehawk v Brighton & Hove Albion, Dartford v AFCW and Bromley v Gillingham for example.
Can you tell I'm bored?!

I've been to Molesey vs Banstead (5-0, should have been 15 odd) and am going to Chessington and Hook vs Carshalton this Saturday
Toot - I'm tempted to along and film a few Tooting friendlies this season when Sutton aren't playing, the Crawley game in particular!

Other than our rather good set of pre-season games is anybody filling their time with random friendlies? No! I can count the number of decent friendlies at non-league level on the fingers of one hand (and wouldn't need more than my toes to count those including league sides). I'll go to the Sutton games because it's always good to see the new signings plus, this year, joining the SAK initiative means I get in for free. The methadone that keeps me going until the heroin of the opening league fixture is to pop over to Sweden or Ireland and catch a couple of games there. This weekend I went to Ireland and saw games at St Patrick's Athletic and at Limerick. For those who don't know Irish football, the grounds are generally Conference South standard, but Limerick share the Irish RFU stadium where, most famously, Munster Rugby play. A brand spanking new 26,000 capacity stadium, for the football they open a small part of one of the two big stands for the visitors and a bigger part of the other stand for the home fans. The rather good acoustics meant that the crowd of 1,249 generated quite a bit of noise. I've also got a ticket for the Emirates Cup, which involves Galatasary, Porto and Napoli, and I'll try to get along to the Fulham matches against Real Betis and Parma. So with a bit of luck that will be nine new clubs before the season proper starts!

Turners Cross home of Cork City. Great venue and a great place to visit Tony!

I get little enough time without football as it is to do the things I can't do during the season because of football!
