It's also a short trip over the Dartford crossing for Harry. It maybe short in distance but in time it is anything but, 10miles today the queue

He would have started right midfield, Folkes would have been on the bench. Shocked if anyone thinks any different. Not relevant now I guess and we'll never get confirmation! Just for arguments sake i think that will be Marvin's place.Really difficult with our midfield to keep everyone happy.Harry is a good player who like to play central midfield.I believe that dos might have told him earlier he couldn't guarantee him a starting berth hence why he came on here & said goodbye previously. In addition to that Welling have copied our training pattern to be competitive.

I suggest they are probably right though I hope we have a sell on clause. The guy talking about offering a friendly as part of the deal is clearly on a piss take! They aren't Man Utd!! I am baffled how Welling are supporting a decent football team at this level having recently been unable to pay their taxes without hefty fan input!

At least they had fan input to pay the bill, unlike Farnborough who seem at the moment to blame everyone else but themselves for their current woes, to such an extent that they are doing a brainless petition to "Sack the board" of the Conference. Welling did a "Hayes and Yeading/Eastbourne" - didn't have the biggest budget but got the best out of what they had and were lucky enough to get a team of players to click. Respect to them for that, and I hope their stay at Premier level isn't a short one. The only problem with this is that when these players move on, it's difficult to replace them. Look at our 2003/4 season and the side we had then. We got the best out of players like Bailey, Jinadu, Palmer, Gray et all. But when they moved on, it was very difficult to replace them. Our success in 2011 I saw was based in the fact the side were a team...a gang as such. Some of the players we had that year were not as good on paper as the side we have now. The key to a good manager is to get them playing together. Luckily we have someone like Dos who has those skills, and brings in people around him to make up for his self identified weaknesses. If Eastleigh win the title, as the bookies expect this season, in my mind they'll be in the Lewes/Histon mould. Small sides playing way above their natural level who have bought success. Oh I almost forgot - we agreed to play Havant away (when they were a division above us) as part of the deal that brought Scriven to us. In some cases that could be worth £1K to a small club

Welling in a friendly would probably cost more to put on than it would take at the gate!
