www.footballexclusives.co.uk/apps/blog/show/32061421-exclusive-harry-beautyman-couldn-t-turn-down-jamie-day-and-chance-to-play-conference-premierI know I'll get a lot of disagreement with this, but I'm pleased Harry went to Welling, which are a side I've always liked. He could have easily gone to Ebbsfleet or Eastleigh, but he was smart enough (I expect with some advice from Dos) not to chase the dollar, and push forward, and with the Wings setup there and a decent manager Jamie Day (who oddly enough according to their forum was the last player Welling actually paid money for prior to Beauts), it's a good stepping stone for him. Disappointment that he's gone, but as I said before, I'm still amazed how he didn't go at the end of the 2011/12 season!

Strange choice for me.Welling straight back down whilst we go in the opposite direction. That aside with the competition for players in midfield i feel that Harry might have struggled for a regular place in the team or not being able to play in his prefered position.

Harry might actually get more football for Welling than for us. Don't think Welling will go down anyway, they're a good side and deserved to beat Wrexham. With McDonald coming in straight away I imagine Dos had planned for the potential higher league transfer for Harry. Just worried that McDonald will need more time with the squad before playing? Anyway, good luck to Harry at Welling, hopefully he keeps them up this season

Totally agree with you Delboy - strange move because both teams will be going in opposite directions next season with them getting relegated and us hopefully getting promotion.

I find this an odd choice although I think he will do well there. I don't think Welling will get relegated.

Thanks again Harry this time for real. Very early to be suggesting us and Welling will swap leagues this year. A little disrespectful to Welling and it will require a monumental effort for us to get out of this league including some luck in the play offs should we get there!

And Harry would have been a starter whenever fit and fresh enough for us.

Good luck to Harry at Welling, a decent team a step up but not too thrilling a move for me. I expect them to struggle they are not really any better then us on the pitch and conference will be hard for them as it would for us. It saves us a selection problem and although we have signed DM I really hope Dos goes out and gets a quality defender then I really would fancy our chances this term.
Cheers Harry good luck.

He would have started right midfield, Folkes would have been on the bench. Shocked if anyone thinks any different. Not relevant now I guess and we'll never get confirmation!

Not sure why people continue to judge Harry's decision making? It's his career after all. He's got the step up he wants and while Welling may not be considered glamorous, they have proven to be a good club who do well on what is probably a relatively small budget compared to a number of Conf South clubs let alone the Premier.
It's also a short trip over the Dartford crossing for Harry.
If he does well, this will cement his credentials as an England C player and may lead to something bigger.
Just hope we got a sell on clause in the deal - I'm sure we would have.
Good luck Harry and thanks.

I think it's a decent move for H. He's young enough for it to be a launch pad for something much better if he continues to progress. And welling may get the odd live TV game through the BT deal and that widens the audience. Loved watching him play for us but we knew this was coming and better now than a few games in to the season I reckon. We now have a settled squad and the benefit of certainty as the clock ticks down til three tomorrow. Good luck harry.
