Shame as I rated Murrell-Williamson..

Onto the next generation of youngsters now then. Hong Moon is my tip to be the next to break into the first team.

He plays for the ressies Stewart. And did last season too. Does look a good player. Top scorer this season from midfield too.

Murrell-Williamson looked as though he could develop into a good player. In fact all three look to have a good future in the game.Very surprised at this decision but of course i don't know what Dos's criteria is.Seems very harsh.

From the Harrow forum:
Benjamin was Centre forward in the first half & again contributed nothing..

They may well have a good future in the game, the question is did they look as though they would be playing in the first team this year or possibly next? Answer, no imo. Therefore no point in keeping them in the squad and using up budget.

Age old problem of bringing youth through. Easy to play them in the Surrey Senior Cup, not so easy to play and develop them in the league (though these guys had some limited exposure to league stuff). Clearly the guys weren't showing enough over at Harrow and were costing us an element of our budget. The hardest thing to do in sport is to compete at the right end and still allow your home grown (or young joiners) talent the chance to come through. Personally I like to see at least 1 bench spot kept clear for a promising youngster - it is good for the club to see that the opportunity is there. We have had a few now who have played a bit but not really gone on. I see the issue though and understand the thinking behind it. The strength we have in depth now is our strongest for some time and we are putting all of our resources into the current squad. It must be a little disappointing for the reserve/youth management to do all of this work and then see them leave for other pastures. Again though appreciate the difficulty when you are investing so much in the squad. Good luck to all 3 of them.

It's a judgement call but if it helps keep Big Mac at the club then it's a fairly simple one to make and it looks like that is how Dos has weighed it up.

He looked useful going forwards but work rate wise he is (or was) way below the required level. Don't know whether it was a fitness or mentality thing but he certainly needed to work on that aspect of his game to play at this level IMO.

All three did pretty well for us at the end of last season. However, the reality is that Sutton's squad this season is very much stronger than last season. All three were given the chance to impress at Harrow - but it appears that they didn't do enough to suggest that they merit a place in the current Sutton squad. On that basis, the decision to release them seems right for all concerned. Doesn't mean that they haven't got bright futures - just that it's going to be somewhere else. Looks like Kyle Vassell has got a new lease of life at Bishops Stortford - and I'm pleased for him - but don't think that he would be first choice if he was still at Sutton. If any of the three had set the world alight at Harrow, I'm sure that they would still be Sutton players.

Good luck to all 3. All enjoyed a highlight or two towards the end of last season with Chris B's goal at Dover voted as our goal of the season. Rhys M-W looks a bright talent but needs coaching and perhaps he didn't take on board the stuff he was being shown. My preference with regards these three was Kevant. He never let the side down - save that miss at Maidenhead - and having seen him a couple of times for the Suburban Team, he was one who could raise his standard to the first team level. Whether he could have done that week in week out is another question, though.
As others have said they are a tad unlucky because of the quality U's currently has in the squad but they will need to get over this disappointment to get their careers back on track and perhaps Harrow will not be that place to kick start them.
