Another away trip to East Sussex!

This is a chance to get even with Lewes after they dumped us out of the Cup six seasons ago.

With Lewes lying 6th in the Ryman Premier it's going to be tough, but could have been a lot worse.

Certainly a tough draw - Lewes are unbeaten in the league so far this season.

I'd certainly want to get revenge for 6 seasons ago - If I'm right that was Ernie Howe's first game in charge for us?

I like Lewes as a town so it will be nice to have some time there. Just hope to come back still in the cup.

Away games are always tough but hopefully, if we can go there confident after a good result against Eastbourne then we will have enough to progress.

For some reason I was convinced we would get Eastleigh away so I guess I should be pleased with the draw.

Right club, wrong competiton for Howe's 1st Sutton game. It was a month later and a 4-0 loss in the league. The cup game was a relativly close 1-0 defeat, where we played OK by the (poor) standards of that season, but never really caused the Lewes defence any problems.

It will be nice to get some revenge, the attitude and pure arrogance of some Lewes fans was beyond insulting.

Lewes may be unbeaten but they've drawn three of their five Ryman League games at the Dripping Pan. And one of their two victories was against Carshalton.

Hartley Wintney are the only Combined Counties club still in it. They are at home to Clevedon Town.

Buzzing for this game already!! Had a read of there forum - seem a bit full of themselves this lot with most of the comments suggesting they think they'll win and that we're not very good..if we play how we played against Staines in August it won't even be a contest.

My mate plays for the lot down the road and says they're bang average..

Don't think it will be an easy game by any means, but this is a team who a few years ago bought success in a boom and bust way like so many others. A minority of fans of theirs (and any club - see Kingstonian as a prime example) were still under the delusion that they were a big club and now they are probably at their natural level, they are playing beneath themselves. Can't see past the fact that the reason they were successful for a while was someone was pumping a load of money in.

End of the day we are in theory 24 places higher than them at time of writing. So therefore we are favourites. I'm hoping that the match runs to the form book and these
people get egg on their faces!

Are you sure, that is not how I read their posts.

A few are being positive and why not, just like many of us were last year before the Wrexham game.
