Tuesday 15th I think I read thus postponing the Gosport game. The crucial England game is live on ITV that night. The attendance would be halved!

If the Lewes game is drawn will the replay be next Monday or Wednesday? I think you mean "If the Lewes game is drawn, would it be possible for the game to be replayed on the Monday or the Wednesday" - you make it sound like a decision has been made, and not communicated to us but you have insider knowledge.

No, just hope the club make the correct choice.

Well i hope its Tuesday if drawn. Can't be bothered to watch England!
Anyway the crowd won't be good for the visit of a Ryman premier club midweek. Its the prize money thats important.

Personally I think it's more important to take these things into account for cup games, because they're all pay. If ST holders prefer to watch England when Sutton have a league game - and some do, that's their choice - we only lose what they'd have put over the bar and stuff like that, whereas for cup games, we lose their admission money too. Unfortunately, cups tend to have stricter rules on when the games can be played.

Well, as the scheduled visit to Gosport has been moved to Wednesday, I would have thought a replay would be played on the same night. Might upset Mr Miller though as I believe the Youth are at home that night too.

Maybe i'm in the minority, and it's pretty rare for me to go on about personal circumstances on here, but I'd actually booked time off work to go to Gosport, and changing the date this late one, as the fixture had been announced for no other reason than there's an international game on (which was known about when the game was rearranged)is pretty poor to be honest. Yes, maybe if the cup game goes to a replay we can presume that it will be on a Wednesday and maybe that will mean a little more gate money (which of course won't materialise if there is a result on Saturday) but to be honest, the fact this was not taken into consideration first time the game was rearranged isn't fantastic.

It seems Gosport picked the date without checking and Sutton did not do there home work either.

I think that a lot of selfless, time consuming work, countless phone calls, emails and the like go on behind the scenes from volunteers on seemingly small matters such as these, involving two clubs (that have to agree), The FA and two leagues to agree on all the possible permutations that could result - this of course doesn't get reported blow by blow and some comments on forums (per above) could appear to be unhelpful at best.
