"We've already made £7.5k from this Cup run" Err, what about the win at Whitehawk ? Make that £12k then. Even better!

A good draw for our lot in my opinion as there really could have been a lot worse - this one excites me as it has the potential to be a cracker given their form and ours!
We can point to our recent record in this round of the cup under Dos as a good omen having previously beaten Aylesbury, Hampton and Leatherhead - hopefully we can add Hemel to this list.

Like Lewes fans they seem a bit cocky - probably with good reason given their form. I'm sure we'll bring them down a peg or two!

You actually have to make a profit before paying tax!

just read their forum and they seem quietly confident.Perhaps they don't appreciate that there is a gap between the feeder leagues even though they are top at present.Still anything can happen in the Cup which is why its fantastic for non league teams at this stage.

When you look at the draw it could have been far worse and apart from another away tie we have to be reasonbly happy that it is lower league opposition. Another potential banana skin but then Gosport are not exactely setting the conf south alight and as we know there is a step between top of the next step and top of this one. I am sure Dos will simply go there to play our style and to our strengths and let them do the worrying. If we don't show we could go out but if we play as we have been then we will progress. Bring it on I say

Could have been worse could have been better. Looks like our luck on the home draw front as well and truly dried up.
Don't know too much about the strength in depth of the current Southern Prem so difficult to say how good their 10 match winning run is. However, any team who can put that run together has to be respected and on their own patch they will be looking for a minor giant-killing. We will just have to be like we were on Saturday, solid at the back and then get some fluency going forward.
Let's just hope Dos 4q round conversion rate continues. Certainly, we will be up for it.

Seems the the one and only time we have met The Tudors was in the Amateur Cup in 1933 ( we won 4-1 away that day ), as has been previously said.........another tough tie ! Incidentally, when we played them back in 1933, they were known as Apsley. W Ferrett, F Roche, S Manners and Dick Tarrant scored.

Guess there is a good chance there will be segregation for this game? A possible 2,000 plus crowd and given there will be some 'unknown' faces in there might be for the best. Reckon our support is better when segregation is in force.
How many do you think we'll take for this? 150-200? More?

Hemel Hempstead Town lose there unbeaten run in all competitions tonight going down 4-2 to 'plucky' Aylesbury in the 'something cup'. Reserves.....+ 3 first teamers 2 of whom were on the bench, so no surprise they lost that one.
Incidentally, this will be the third FA Cup match on the trot with a sloping pitch. Quotes from Hungerford and St Albans sites below on Hemel;
'Playing down a considerable slope after the interval',
'Playing up the slope during the second half'
'As most of the action centred on the bottom, home, goal'
Also, a word of warning on the parking situation -
There is a small car park at Vauxhall Road. It fills quickly and can be a pain to exit. Try to park on Vauxhall Road; the further up you go the more likely you are to find a space or even turn left into Farland Road for a clearer road to park on. If arriving early enough, have a drink in the nearby Crabtree pub and leave your car there.
For a Quick(er) Getaway from Vauxhall Road:
Upon arrival at Hemel, drive past the ground and park as far up Vauxhall Road as possible, facing the junction with Longlands. You're a very brief walk from the ground. After the game, walk back to your car past the fools edging their cars slowly out of the packed car park, drive out of Vauxhall Road, left into Longlands, left on to the dual carriageway and then you're on your way back to the M1 without the hassle of negotiating your way out/past the busy football ground.

There was one replay last night - well done to Hartley Wintney coming from 2-0 down to beat Clevedon 4-3 to reach the 4th round qualifying for the first time in their history!

Segregation could be tricky if, as they state on their website, they generally only have one turnstile open!
