And a suspect statement has appeared with words attributed to him. Falling apart now rapidly. Who knows how much they will need to pay someone to take the reins? And will they be left with academy players as per game v Lowestoft or will they get a budget?

From what I read Hazel wasn't prepared to play kids week in week out, it will wreck them and it will impact on him as a coach?

If it is true about their fans (well, two) abusing Haze then is it any surprise he walked? Haze is a great football guy and looked to be placed in a very difficult position. Not sure that if it was the case (and Haze surely wouldn't lie about it) that the two were being very helpful. Perhaps they were aiming at him to have an indirect go at the club's owner or whatever he calls himself?

I would think retaining his academy post was important to ensure he can continue to pay the bills. Not that I am suggesting the statement was made under duress/worded for him or anything.

Last season, not 1st team games and only to support teams unconnected with Carshalton I might add! Try not to go if I can help it.
What's your point?

My point is that the abuse aimed by part of the support at Dipre when he was manager was extreme (if understandable) and I don't suppose that their treatment of Hazel, seen as Dipre's puppet and replacing a very popular manager, would be any different!

The label "puppet" was used on their forum. Whether that supports the theory that Haze may have been open to abuse or not by a small minority of fans I wouldn't know but of what I know of Haze he is not one for making up stories.

Why is there something about this to me that stinks? At what ground would 2 fans be allowed to behave in offensive manner for a prolonged period of time without something taking action? I'm not saying it didn't happen, but something certainly could have been done with an official saying something to one of Lowestofts officials? Imagine if that happened at GGL? 2 people would have been spoken to/ejected for the simple reason that they've clearly broken ground rules. If there are 100 people doing that, I accept it's more difficult to deal with on limited resources, but 2 people? Simply the Bobbins officials set their stall out by not supporting Haze.

I honestly can't see why Haze would walk over 2 clowns, he isn't stupid so will have been well aware of the fans feelings for the previous manager and owner? I couldn't see Dos walking if just 2 idiots decided to have a go at him. I am not in anyway saying it didn't happen but think it far more likely that upon reflection Haze thought the job would damage him and the kids he was playing.

There's another statement on the Bobbins' website about the "incident", which suggests that it was the abuse he received which made him quit. Of course, it is difficult to believe anything that comes from that organ.

Haze may be an honest man, but he's also supporting a family on what he earns from the Bobbins. It wouldn't be beyond Mr Dipre to concoct a story which contractually Haze needs to abide by.

Ian told supporters after 20 minutes that he loved the club but never wanted the job but had no choice. We were four down by this point. Of course there was frustration travelling that distance and seeing that but honestly only heard one person swearing and he was with the vice presidents.
We did sing after Ian made that comment if you love the club, you're walk away but that is all that happened. To be honest we are all just fed up of the first team being ruined every eight months. Imagine as supporters if you had to put up with what we have over last six years.
Guarantee that their was no vile, obscene abuse at the game. Second half was just virtual silence and ended with every player shaking hand of travelling support and thanking them.
The two who have been banned never did anything that would constitute a ban. They have been picked because of who they are and the fact the owner doesn't like them.
Ian spoke after about the youth being forced to play when not ready. Part of me feels for him as he seems a decent bloke but this club is such a mess and supporters are treated so badly that you begin to realise the club is slowly dying in front of our eyes.
Don't ever forget how lucky you are that your club is run well and by people who care.

Also supporters club have a quiz night this Friday. If you want to put together a Sutton team then you would be more than welcome.
