I got to Portsmouth 45 minutes ago and, ironically, it's a gorgeous, sunny afternoon down here. I've even seen a butterfly on the wing.
Well, there's nothing for it but to adjourn to a pub.:-)

Hope we hump this lot when we play them - three times they've mucked us around, first for prioritising a tinpot cup game, secondly the England game and now an "apparent" waterlogged pitch!

FYI, localboy it is not Gosport who prioritise a tinpot cup but the Hampshire FA. All County Cups take preference over a league match; only surprise is that the CS was not aware of the Hampshire SC dates.
And I for one was quite happy to watch England get to Brazil last night.

In fairness to Gosport I was working near Portsmouth today and it was pouring down with rain from early this morning until about 3.00PM. I did think that the game would be at risk. It's always frustrating when a game is called off late though, particularly if the sun has come out by the time you find out about it.

Also, isn't it down to a referee's decision to say whether the pitch is too wet to play on safely?
That would suggest Gosport haven't mucked us around at all.
