I mentioned this to a few people during yesterday's game, but our trip to Bath on Tuesday coincides with the Christmas lights being turned on in Bath City Centre, so the centre of Bath will be even more congested than usual any time from about 5.30 onwards - I think the actual switch-on is between 6.30 and 7. I've put travel details on the website (http://www.suttonunited.net/fans_awaytravel.html) with a road route that avoids Bath City centre but involves travelling further on the M4 to the Bristol exit then coming back from the west.

Having travelled to Bath many times from Swindon avoiding the centre and getting to Bath FC, may I suggest an alternative route which some may already know. (I find the M4 gets progressively busier the nearer to Bristol you get, especially in the evenings!) Come off the M4 at junction 18, and turn right signposted Stroud A46. Then turn next left signposted Pucklechurch A4465. (This road is not far from the roundabout so be careful not to shoot past it especially when it's dark!) Continue on this road for a mile or so and turn left at the traffic lights still signposted Pucklechurch. You will go past Westleigh Crematorium on your right. As you go through Pucklechurch you will come to a T-junction. Turn right and follow the road, at the small roundabout turn right and at the end of this road you will pick up the A4174 Bristol By Pass. Turn left onto it and follow the Keynsham/Longwell Green signs (straight over 5 roundabouts). Turn left onto the A4 signposted Bath at the 5th roundabout going along the Keynsham by pass with the railway line on your left. Stay on this road through Saltford and you will eventually be on the Lower Bristol Road A4 needing to turn right up to the football ground as you'll be coming in from the opposite direction. I hope this helps some people and I hope the directions are clear enough. I shall be going this way on Tuesday and I can honestly say it saves quite a bit of time and mileage once off of Junction 18.
