I know it is not the club's decision and has to be agreed by all parties but seeing as Boreham Wood got knocked out today by Gloucester and were due to play H&W on the 30th could our Monday night fixture in December not be brought forward or are we waiting to see if Tivy beat WSM in a replay this week?

To Mark What's the highest number of penalties we have conceded in a single season, how many times have we conceded more than one penalty in a single match and have we ever conceded more than one penalty in a match more than once a season (prior to this season)? Thanks!

I imagine that the club would rather go to Weston on Sat 30th as WSM is a long way for a midweek trip. But, as Mark says, that would depend on Weston losing to Tiverton in their FAT replay. Weston were due to play Eastleigh in the league on the 30th, but Eastleigh are through to the next round of the Trophy.

Thanks! Sorry Hon Sec, I don't have that info to hand. However, I can't remember us conceding two pens in more than one match in a season. Welling away last season was the last time before HH and today. And as I said Mr Rock gave them both at Welling. Press Sec will know, photographic memory et al.

Nope he uses a Dictaphone (queue teenage jokes). But, he has an amazing memory but has to be at the match to recall stuff.

I'm going to be a bit of a disappointment on this one, then. My guess is that it's happened more than people might think, and the opposition being awarded a penalty isn't normally that unusual a thing so tends not to stick in the memory. I'm pretty sure that it happened in the first away league game I ever went to (Mark may have this in his records) at Southall in 1975, when they had Alan Devonshire playing for them and I think he won two penalties in the space of about ten minutes, both of which were saved by our keeper at the time, John Overton. I can also remember a referee awarding Finchley two in a League Cup game at Sutton, both of which were scored, and almost being lynched when he left the field. I'm sure there have been others but they don't come to mind at the moment.

Disappointment? You recall something from a match in 1975? The main point of the question though was 2 pens in more than one game in a season. One day I will know, especially now Sutton Library has its new toy.

Any news on whether we might have a re-arranged fixture on Saturday 30 November?
Shame if we haven't.
