Last Saturday's test broadcast proved that we could in fact put out a live feed and the feedback we have had has been positive.
We hope to have ironed out the technical issues and background noise and be online before 3pm this week.
I stress this is still part of our testing phase before we go public with the service, but anyone who would like to join the commentary can do so by sending a PM and we will give the direct listening link.
All we ask is to bear with us while we get it right and feedback would be much appreciated.

Sorry, SUFCTV, but I went to see the Leatherhead/Guernsey game on Wednesday, and GFCTV not only has more kit than PC World, it had its own satellite uplink to send it back to the Channel Isles!

Yes but they don't do it on 2 packets of crisps and a tin of coke, anyway if we wanted to broadcast tomorrows match live in both video and audio we could do it. Unfortunately league rules don't allow live tv broadcast within the UK  |

Guernsey's live TV service has led to a massive decrease in crowds though, some people will watch cold midweek games in February from their own living room if they can

I didn't know they broadcast live video, its a bit naughty really they are using the benefit of being outside the UK to broadcast and the benefit of being part of the UK to play in our league system. It appears you can have your cake and eat it too?

After some technical problems yet again we did manage to put out commentary on the whole match today. We had use of the spare press box in the stand and it stopped the backgroung noise issues we had last week. Any feedback on the service from those listening would be really helpful as this is something we would like to get up and running for everyone ASAP.

It appears you can have your cake and eat it too? I don't think it's naughty - they are within their rights. I think we'd do it too if we could, wouldn't we? They're in a fortunate position there, but then it's balanced out by stuff like the amount of travel they have to do! |
