....somehow this has not come as a surprise, and now gives PD an opportunity to rotate the squad with I sure a couple of new faces. After last weeks lack lustre performance I feel PD will ring the changes, to get something from our important game at Ebbsfleet.
Thanks Jamie for all your efforts, your presence on & off the field will be missed.

Wow - I didn't see that coming. Losing your skipper mid way into the season could be a tough one. Not only do you have to replace a decent centre back, but also someone to lead the team. It leaves us very thin at the back, but knowing Dos he's probably got at least 1 (maybe 2 targets) lined up. Failing that, there may be a change in how we play.... Thanks Jamie and good luck at Margate - with Brown and Cash there, you'll be in the right place for the next stage of your career. And gives you a chance to ruin the dreams of some local rivals

All the best to skip going down to Margate. Thought he'd been our most consider performer this season before picking up a couple of knocks.
As some have said, this leaves us a bit thin at the back but you can't blame JS for wanting to consider his future and the opportunity to team up with his old boss.

Suits both parties I would imagine. Allows Jamie to leave in a nice manner. No doubt a fully committed player which is all we can ask of players whilst they are here. Thanks for your efforts.

Good luck to Jamie, hasn't let us down at all and I think he lives in Kent and it sounds the right thing for club and player.
I think Dos heavily hinted at making some changes, and what I can see from this with the players we have is Cloughie to partner Downer? Charlie can play the midfield holding role as I think that is how he played at Bristol Rovers?

No one can doubt JS's commitment or leadership qualities on the pitch, but there have been a few signs lately that age is finally catching up with him. So the timing of this move spares both parties potential embarrassment. I expect him to do well in his new role at Margate, while Dos can now start Downer and Clough as a centre back partnership. I'd expect a new signing to provide defensive cover.

I didn't expect this, but now you mention it it shouldn't be a huge surprise. I wish Jamie the best of luck in his new role.
