Both players have, of course, trodden the hallowed GGL turf.

Brain-teaser: which two former Sutton team-mates of Matt Hanlan also played against Mark Lawrenson at GGL?

He played for Moreton Town in the FA Cup against us Correct, but not the answer to the question! Nigel Golley and Paul Gates both played with Matt Hanlan in our Conference side of the late 80s / early 90s. They were the two surviving members of that squad to play against Moreton Town (featuring an ageing Lawro at centre back!) in an FA Cup qualifying tie in October 1993. After a goalless draw at GGL, Sutton won the replay 2-0 in the Cotswolds. We went on to beat Colchester and Torquay away before bowing out at Notts Co in the third round.

Yes but I couldn't remember the players and certainly couldn't be arsed to look it up!!
