Only two games tonight but both of them rather important...
Tonbridge V Ebbsfleet Bromley v Eastleigh
The Tonbridge game has just passed a pitch inspection and seems like the Bromley game didn't need one.
The 3rd game due tonight (H&Y v Staines) is off

First tweet was "Following a pitch inspection, tonight's game vs Ebbsfleet is ON subject to no further heavy rain falling." Then postponed due to waterlogged pitch. Presume there has been heavy rain in Tonbridge then

First tweet was "Following a pitch inspection, tonight's game vs Ebbsfleet is ON subject to no further heavy rain falling." Then postponed due to waterlogged pitch. Presume there has been heavy rain in Tonbridge then It started raining here in North Kent @ midday and its quite heavy and no surprises if Ebbs goes the same way?

And so we move into February with four Skrill South clubs (Tonbridge, Havant, Gosport and Stortford) still with over half of their league fixtures to play. And some people aren't persuaded of the case for 3G pitches.

The ground is just so full of water and the rivers are all at the top so any rain just causes flooding and surface water has no where to go. Looking at the forcast for later this week our odds of playing on Saturday are not good. We could be looking at just 1 home match in 2 months with the loss of income that brings, with referees must tougher on playing conditions today and the matches we and others have played being on pitches not fit to walk a dog. The time has surely come for the conference to do the right thing and allow 3g playing surfaces.
I am not going to argue a real pitch if in perfect condition is better then a 3g one but in truth that rarely happens at our level. A 3g pitch provides a consistant surface all year round and overal is the better solution, unless the premier league wants to share its money with lower league football so we too can have Desso GrassMaster pitches.
Before people like Dipre jump on the wagon, its not so much as the 3g pitch he had turned down but wat he planned to do with it!
