So will it finally happen, at the sixth time of asking? Gosport don't have to replay in the Trophy, so it's only the weather that can force yet another postponement. We've had a couple of good drying days this weekend, but there's more rain forecast for the south coast tomorrow night followed by showers on Tuesday. Could be touch-and-go. If it goes ahead, there's bad news for anyone relying on the last direct train (22.19) out of Portsmouth Harbour to get back to London. Thanks to overnight engineering works there's a replacement bus service between Havant and Haslemere, with arrival time in Clapham Junction not until 1.14 a.m. Don't think I'll be doing that!

Gosport Borough Football Club - No plans for an inspection at the moment. We are due a bit of rain overnight so we'll see what happens from there. Any inspection will be announced in good time.

At least our players practiced those conditions at Basingstoke! Same result would be nice.

If Havant dispatch Aldershot tonight in the postponed FA Trophy match from Saturday, then we will see a Conference South side at Wembley for the first time since Grays won the Trophy in 2004 - they've been drawn to play our opponents tonight, which will make for a fascinating Portsmouth based semi-final.

From Gosport's official Facebook page:
Tonight's Skrill South game against Sutton Utd is currently ON. No pitch inspection is planned.

Good to hear! Be good to keep our 2014 run going. A win tonight would further reinforce our play-off spot.

Down there already. Enjoying a nice pint of Oakleaf from the local brewery.
It is very, very windy but I can't see the game not starting. Whether it finishes might be a different matter!

I wish I had been Sal. There was some barmy stuff going on last night. The journey home was crazy.

Yup - dark, windy, roads slick with spray and rain coming in sheets.
Very glad Andy is a good driver!

The real fun was in Duke's limo on the trip back. The demister was only clearing the bottom third of the windscreen. Driving rain, high winds, visibility similar to that of a Sherman Tank. Great fun!
