Unbelievably it is 25 years since THAT day and some of you are probably wondering what the club is doing about celebrating that anniversary.
Well, in discussion with the players it was agreed not to aim for anything in January on or around the actual anniversary as the weather would be so unpredictable. (As it turns out it has been very predictable, rain and more rain, so a good decision in retrospect) and as some of the key personnel are now scattered across the globe they preferred a summer date.
So, the date for your diaries is Saturday 19th July. The intention is to play a home friendly against attractive opposition and to precede that with a short veterans game involving our players from that match. There will hopefully be a few other things going on that day and we will announce full details as soon as we can.
