So, resorting to call me petty little names, now, just because I hit a raw nerve perhaps?
I'll accept your apology in advance; fellow u's fans don't tend to resort to that form of mild abuse on this forum, rather use terms such as negative or ill-informed.
For the record, I started in 1969, I'm just a few weeks off celebrating 38 years - not that I have to justify my credentials as a fan to you.
The point was that your continuous carping on about players who have left - mainly Suburban team players - has become tedious & I know I am not the only one who uses this forum who thinks so.
If Ian Hazel didn't rate any of the Surburban squad that's his decision. He made it & others & as a result (mainly I suspect because of the others) left the post before he was no doubt pushed.
You are entitled to your opinion as I am mine, but you have made it enough times for us regulars on this forum to get the message. And that continued approach is why some of us believe you have other motives for doing so, hence my suggestion in the previous thread.
I wish all our previous players, in particular the youngsters, all the best as they look to carve out good careers in NL football. Who knows, some may return, Gwynne Berry did.
Now, for the last time, let's move on.

Delboy IS correct...........it was John Faulkner, who went on to score an og on his "debut" for Leeds Utd , after that he played for Luton Town, and then took up coaching

To answer your question Rob - exciting. Queued up Norman Rd for the tickets - but was a bit miffed that I couldn't watch from my usual position of the main stand - parents opted for standing. I had never seen so many people in place, 14,000 - amazing to think that GGL could hold such a crowd. Still H&S wasn't so prevalent in those days.
The goal was disallowed for a push by Peter Drabwell on 'keeper Harvey, Faulkner did score it. Pritch hit the bar too.
