I see they won again tonight this time 4-0 and looking at their results it looks like taking candy from a baby, isn't there a tougher league they could play in? Just asking, dont shoot

Hardly taking candy from a baby OS - more the result of two years of hard work for a lot of the lads and some exceptional coaching. Give credit where it's due please!!
There is no other stronger league unless we take the lads out of their colleges and play in the Conference Youth Alliance, but to be honest there's not that much difference in standard there...we've beaten 4 CYA sides this year in cups and lost to one (after extra time and penalties)
I suggest you come along to a game to witness the standard for yourself. Next Thursday evening's game with Met Police at Imber Court should be a cracker

You don't get that good without a excellent setup and generally when a team out grows its opposition it moves up a level. It would be good to film a youth match and show the quality which they have.

Apologies for coming to the conversation late
I'm backing up Gareth's views above - if you have not watched the Youth side until now please look at the website and get yourself to a youth match. More credit needs to go to James, Will, Jon & Geoff for the team which they have managed to nurture over the past two seasons into the side they are now - undefeated in the Surrey Cup over the last two seasons and not lost a regular season league game since the first game of last season. If the first team did not have the quality of Slabs, JT, Scans, Cloughy & Dundo some of these youth players like Ollie Sitch, Emil Salama, Cashel Wing & Ben Cotton might of had a sniff by now of being on the bench for the first team.
People might say that the club need to get the youth team into a stronger league, the problem is that there is no real stronger league at present and the youth team in my opinion is the strongest Under 18 side in Surrey. As the Chief Executive of the Southern Youth League, I see quite a fair bit of Ryman Youth and Southern Youth League football - looking at results when Southern Youth League and Ryman Youth League teams play each other in cup competitions, the Southern Youth League teams on the whole this season have beaten their Ryman Youth rivals - the only exception being when they meet Sutton as witnessed by the two thumpings over the two Leatherhead sides in the past fortnight.
Alliance Youth football is deemed to be a higher standard of football but in my opinion the Academy system does not work in reality for non-league clubs unless the academy is set up and run in the right way - the only local ones successful in my opinion are Woking and Staines Town, the rest of them are a waste of time and money - Sutton without an academy have beaten four academy sides and three Southern Youth League sides this season have had success in cup competitions against sides that are deemed to be 'Academy' sides. My opinion of Academies seem to be they are a way of guzzling away government grants/funds to allow youths to play football with no regard to the actual educational part of their studies which are of sub-standard quality - thios opinion is based upon conversations I have had over the past three years with coaches and other administrators involved in Academy sides.
Please get yourself along to Merstham FC on 2nd April for the Surrey Cup Final - they deserve as much support as possible.

I guess another option is to push more of them into reserve football and play younger lads in the youth team. That said I have no idea if that already happens to some extent and also no idea of the gap there is to breach. I'm sure the people running things, who clearly are doing a great job, know best and we can leave it to them.

I saw my first youth match of the season tonight and was very impressed by the commitment and high standard of football of this current Sutton team. I shall be back to see more and recommend that any supporters reading this should consider visiting one or more of the remaining fixtures. I am sure you will enjoy the experience.
