very exciting plans. However, I have one issue and that would be with the proposed location of the perspex dug outs. If placed on the Collingwood Road rec side, can i assume they will form part of the new pitch perimeter fencing? If not, they will obscure the view substantially unless the plan is for the new terracing to be elevated higher than it currently is. Yes, we don't want another cock-up. Spectators' view is everything, check the sight lines!

Is there a link available to the redevelopment plan?

Hi Dave1 - if you mean a "proper" drawing of the lay-out the answer is no, that won't be ready for at least a couple of weeks. If you mean a conceptual sketch, then I can upload that tonight.

Thanks Dave - I'd be very interested to see it - but don't want to put you to too much trouble.

OK, so I've now updated the original article on the official site by attaching a sketch of the proposed lay-out. Two words of warning:- 1. It is a very rough sketch that exposes my lack of skill in using Powerpoint. I have also superimposed the lay-out onto a birds-eye view of the stadium. 2. This is still provisional, the lay-out could change as a consequence of our detailed drawings and the planning process.
Hopefully this gives an idea of what we have in mind. It's not perfect, we can't afford perfect, but hopefully it will make a big difference for all areas of the club. And we're prepared to listen to ideas, suggestions about how we could make things better. You know my e-mail by now.

Thanks for this, Dave. Gives us all an idea of the new layout.
Your Powerpoint skills are probably slightly ahead of mine!

Subject to the views of the groundsman and any impacts on pitch drainage, we may also move the whole pitch around 3m towards towards Gander Green Lane and make it perhaps 1-2m widerI always thought the GGL terrace was set back to far.
Many thanks for the updates Dave. Yeah better to have it closer to the pitch with entrance from the rear, not the front

Couple of qus from sketches if I may.
Is the plan for the mound/shoe box areas to be brought forward otherwise presumably they'd be set back a little oddly to the extent the view could be obscured by the new terrace?
Is the Nike building the pop up steel structure?
What is the yellow box by the covered terrace at East End or is that just an open area?
Was the original plan to have pavilion as part of new terrace on North side? If so is that separation for funding purposes? Or did I imagine that plan?
The one real issue I can see neighbours complaining about is the proposed new car park (though this has a question mark) and drive way backing onto the ends of their gardens. The rest is away from housing and whilst there may be short term disruption long term I can't see any reasonable complaint being upheld.

Any plans for additional toilets at the GGL end?

Really exciting news - will greatly improve the look and, more importantly the atmosphere in the ground,

As we stated, the proposals are not perfect. We will not be able to afford to move the shoebox or mound stand forward at this time, so there is a chance that a new covered terrace might restrict some views, we will know more once the accurate drawings are to hand and obviously we will try to minimise any inconvenience but the enhancements will more than make up for that ! We intend to knock down the existing toilet block so clearly replacements will have to be provided, but whether that is in one place or two is yet to be decided. The details of the whole scheme will depend on the views of the planners and the final costs.
The original concept drawings garethl refers to were discarded quite early, a QS costed the pavilion/terrace alone at well over £1m, so that was quickly ruled out.

I always thought the corner of the Rec side/GGL end would be a good place for a new toilet block.

Sadly I didn't win Euromillions last night. I was really hoping I would as funding wouldn't have been an issue
