This should be a great game. Bath will be a good test for the U's, let's hope the team starts well this time!

.....lets hope they can put the last two games behind them, and turn the dominance they had into goals. I think second place in the league is up for grabs, would rather play Bromley than Eastleigh in the playoffs.

We would only play Eastleigh if they did'nt win the league,so 2nd or 3rd would be alright for us and give us home advantage

A rather poor performance from the home side today. With two more games midweek in mind Dos shuffled the pack and it did not payoff. Sutton rarely threatened the Bath goal and it was not until Scannell and McCallum came on that we looked like scoring. Undefeated in March lets hope that continues next month..

Yes very poor from us, but credit to Bath who were very well organised and played excellently on the counter, 10 & 11 were a threat all afternoon and their centre backs played very well. I hope they scrape into the play offs, would enjoy a visit to Twerton Park as I missed the game this year.
Also credit to the lads for twice getting back into the game. Appalling deliveries from free kicks and corners for most of the game, then a few good ones and look what happens, we nearly win the game - the cross for the 1st goal and the disallowed 'winner' were every bit as good as the Bath delivery for their first goal, which incidently should never have happened as the proceeding throw in clearly should have gone to us.
Have to say a word about the 2nd Bath goal - absolutely shocking from us. We'd had warning after warning but still allowed the keeper to sail one over their heads for a one on one. But all in all a fair result and decent entertainment!

Certainly credit to Bath, who over the 180 mins I've seen them this season have posed as much threat to our goal than any other team this season.
Watkins, Stearn and of course double goal scorer Pratt were a real handful again. I thought we did ok first half but just didn't have the final ball. Then, a bit of indiscipline and the resultant free-kick, no marking and we're one down right on half-time.
Second half we just didn't get going until the subs were made. Bath went close when they hit the bar and then blazed the rebound over before Cloughie equalised after the 'keeper had failed to hold a ball in from the right.
U's were improving but a long kick from the 'keeper left SD isolated and Pratt controlled well and finished even better to score a fine goal.
U's unbeaten run looked over but while we've stopped winning, we don't appear to have quite got that losing habit and great play by Gav down the left and a well struck cross allowed the man of the day, Dundo to celebrate his 300th with a tap in. Cloughie had a header chalked for offside and that was that.
Bath will be gutted not to have taken all the points as JB was the busier of the 'keepers but U's kept going and we will take a point after being a bit below par for long stretches of the match.
Ref, was ok; got his yellows right but once again failing to retreat 10 yards was not punished and may have influenced SD's decision to foul that led to their opener.
I suppose you could not have written the afternoon better for Dundo (except for a win for U's perhaps), book ending his 1st appearance and his 300th with goals that on both occasions helped salvage an unlikely point. In front of a good number of SUFC legends of the past, the present one delivered.

Yes, the pile of fixtures to run through this week is a strain on our limited playing resources but even so I thought we might have started with gav, scans and Kane today and no question we were a different prospect once we'd got them all on the pitch. Bath gave it a right proper go and full credit to them , as frakey says they would be gutted not to have won but would have been distraught if we had held the line and Cloughie had nicked all three points for us at the death. Leave aside the dodgy defending that contributed to the first goal and some long and flat periods of play when we just never got going we did show today that this is a resilient unit even when way below our best. Have to say baths second was one of the most perfect route one strikes you will ever see. They are a very credible side are bath and we now need to regroup and go again against two other teams on Tuesday and Thursday who will give us a tough test and we will need to give it a right proper heave . Might not be pretty but the other results for the chasing pack were nothing special today.

Thought Bath's approach today was spot on. They needed to win to stay in the play off picture and gave it a right go. It felt like a win at the end having clawed our way back twice! Well done to the Sutton lads for sticking to the task.

For 80mins today we were not really at the races, we looked leggy and lacked the energy we showed just a fortnight ago on the same pitch. We missed Binnsie's pace today and although we had a lot of the ball most of what we did was in front of a stubborn Bath defence. From a Bath perspective they did everything right and nicked a goal just before the break. Expecting to see the U's come out fired up for the 2nd half it just didn't happen, and Bath continued to look although they didn't need too many opens to give themselves a 2 goal cushion. They will reflect on that tonight as I think it hurts their playoff chances. The introduction of Scan's and Gav gave us a little bit of impetus and up steps Cloughie who I thought was MOTM today to get us back in the game.
The script said we would push for the winner but we left the back door open for the ball over the top and we were duly punished. The good thing about this U's side is it doesn't know how to lose and Dundo as so often comes to our rescue, the only thing he has missing is a blue flashing light and siren - lets hope he goes on to make another 300 appearances. Shame we couldn't complete the story, but I think we had about half a dozen offside as Bath held a pretty good line.

The clock showed 90 minutes, and our unbeaten run in 2014 looked to be over. Then the Bath right back lost his footing, allowing Gav the time and space to deliver a low cross which Dundo, on his 300th appearance, turned in at the back stick. 2-2.
Most of our threat came in the first and final 10 minutes, with three of the game's four goals being scored in the last ten. In between we looked a little flat, with Bath generally having the better of things. Jamie T seems to have temporarily lost his scoring touch, while Jamie S remained benched for the third successive match (I guess because he's not quite shaken off that groin strain). At least both teams were trying to win today, so the match was better entertainment than our last two.
Ebbsfleet were the only top eight side to win today (though Eastleigh play tomorrow, away v H&Y), and we remain on course for the play-offs.

Eastleigh like us could only manage a draw at Hayes 1-1. Pretty much as you were before the start of play yesterday really.

This was my first game, just moved to the area from South Wales. Seems like a really nice atmosphere, the game itself was pretty tight but I certainly enjoyed it.
Any tips on where best to stand? I'll definitely be back!
