With 652 club goals between them, I don't think anyone can say that the three players drafted into our Hall Of Fame today did not deserve the honour. Charlie Vaughan was long before my time, but his record speaks for itself. I saw both Ricky Kidd and Micky Joyce make their debuts and probably saw most of the 850+ games they managed between them and they, and other players like them, are a big part of why Sutton United became such a big part of my life.
I say this every time we have a Legends' Day but it really is a pleasure to see these players, and their families, come down and have a great time talking to each other and to the fans who remember them. Sad, maybe, but I never tire of reliving Ian Stuart's impossible save at Spennymoor, Ricky Kidd playing the whole 90 minutes in goal v Billericay or Joyce's nine goals against the Tanners.
Congratulations too to Craig Dundas on reaching 300 appearances, given the way football has changed over years that's no mean achievement.
