I got to the Duke of York pub on Platform 8 at Kings X and found we'd managed to get from 50-odd for 2 to 111-3. Within 40 minutes, we'd lost 5 wickets for about 10 runs.

I think I heard on SSN before I left today that none of Englands opening partnerships have managed more than 15 between them in ANY of our WC games so far.

Fair play to young Mr Bopara for putting up some resistance though.

I was just total crap something like 5 runs off the first 5 overs and 29-1 off 10 compared to SA 80-0 off 10. The England fans were giving grief all the way through the SA innings mostly about Freddy and a boat which ending in them being booed off. TBH Surrey 2nd XI were have posted a better score Bopara did his best did not get much support though. Vauhgn is a liabilty!
