If you look at the 5 games that have something major riding on it (play off/relegation) there's a funny "top v bottom" feel to it. Only Stortford have little to play for beyond pride. The one which has the most riding on it seems to be the game at Kingfield. Bishop's Stortford v Maidenhead United Ebbsfleet United v Dorchester Town Hayes & Yeading United v Dover Athletic Tonbridge Angels v Havant & Waterlooville Whitehawk v Sutton United It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if H&Y were relegated, a more negative side I have never seen.

Here's an interesting little factlet I've just come across. Every season we've been in Conference South since its inception, the team promoted through the playoffs has been the team that finished second. Every season when we've NOT been in it, the playoff winners have finished in a spot other than 2nd. We're obviously in it this year, so the 2nd placed team has to win. All we need to do is make sure that's us Edited to add: nobody was promoted through the playoffs in the first season as that was the year they did the North v South final. Eastbourne didn't stand a chance - they finished 5th

In addition to that from Sal, last season was the first season in the history of the Conference South where the top two sides got promoted and the bottom 3 got relegated. Infact last season was the first where the bottom 3 got relegated. Usually due to teams resigning from the league, other sides in the pyramid folding, or in one case the Ryman expanding.
In our relegation season infact, we were the only side in the bottom 3 relegated. Both Weston and Dorchester had a reprieve!

Well we didn't deserve one! We really didn't. The ONLY thing good about that season was we beat Eastleigh at the no-terrace stadium...

Eastleigh had only come up a couple of seasons earlier, so even that doesn't seem as good as it would now

The only problem with that was we were already down which kind of took the gloss over it. If we were going for another I'd go for St Albans away in the last minute. That was probably the only moment in the whole season where there was a glimmer of hope we could survive.

Scooby in the last minute. Beautiful moment! I enjoyed Bath because it was a little antidote to the gloom surrounding the club at the time. I also enjoyed the last minute equaliser at Hayes having been 3-0 down at half-time.

Boy we had some low moments that season, agree with Andy that Ottaway turn and ball through to Scooby is something etched in my brain, not a lot stays there nowadays so must be a biggie? The other moment from that season was sitting at Hayes 3-0 down at HT listening to the clown tune being belted out by the home fans as the sleet started to fall. We didn't win but that injury time header into the roof of the net to make it 3-3 was pretty sweet
