So the same jokers who let this bloke have 98% of the share capital for a pound are now going to spend thousands on a high court action asking a judge to unravel a deal that was their responsibility in the first place? Absolute raving lunacy.

Players leaving, no manager, not allowed to sign anyone and even if they did they don't know if they will even be playing next season. Great advert to boom or bust isn't it

Rob Sinclair - central midfield player at Salisbury - has left to join Forest Green. Apparently this was his second spell at Salisbury. His first spell ended when Salisbury had to release him because they could no longer afford to keep him after being relegated for financial mismanagement.

I think that's nail in the coffin time. With no one to lead their cause, we're going to be playing 40 games next season, not 42. One team is going to have to take a big hit on the xmas fixtures.

If Salisbury are expelled from the league - which I agree now looks very likely - surely it would make sense to allow Lowestoft back into the Conference South?
I know that this might appear unfair on Conference North clubs - but I'm thinking of Lowestoft and its supporters here rather than Sutton. My thoughts are also with Salisbury supporters at this time (but not with the club).

The terms "make sense" and "Conference" don't always go hand in hand!

Salisbury City FC Statement from Mark Winter June 29, 2014 2:50 pm
I have reluctantly decided to stand down at Salisbury City FC.
Despite my best efforts to try and regain control of the club from Outail Touzar, complicated legal issues and the refusal of the previous Chairman William Harrison Allan to support our legal efforts, I and my family have no choice but to walk away.
As those that know me will understand, this breaks my heart to take this decision. The club are in a perilous position which hasn’t been helped by Touzar, who has refused to invest any funds whatsoever. He has though taken cash out, £3950 to be precise. He has shown a far greater appetite to become embroiled in pointless public spats than do the right thing by the supporters and the staff. He is refuses to hand the club back even though he must realise in doing so it is likely to kill the club.
Touzar would have the world believe he is working around the clock to save the club. The brutal truth is he has done nothing to help the club. We have tried everything in our power to reason with him, even offering him money to give the club back.
To overturn his acquisition through legal channels, I required the help of the former chairman, and James Baker his lawyer. They have completely refused, leaving me no option but to concentrate on legal action against them to recover my personal debts, as our lawyers feel they have been negligent during the selling process.
None of the above helps Salisbury City FC with the deadlines to pay debts fast approaching, but my hands I am afraid, are completely tied.
The FA, and the Conference haven’t helped either with a farcical fit and proper test to become a director, or a major shareholder in a football club. If you want to own a premier league club, you have to provide proof of funds and be scrutinised completely. For Football league, you have to provide passport, proof of address, driving licence, and details of all previous football and non-football directorships. For non-league, a P.O box in Dubai and an email address is all you need it seems. This will be followed up in Parliament by our own MP John Glen and the Minister for sport. Perhaps it could lead to a change for the good in the future, but it does not help this club right here and now.
The conference were it seems in hindsight, were also concerned that Touzar didn’t have the funding when they demanded a £50’000 bond to satisfy their concerns.
A couple of weeks ago they sent important financial reporting documents to Touzar which have to returned by a deadline to avoid further sanctions on the club. So far despite being chased by the conference, the man that claims to be working around the clock to save the club, has ignored these emails. I am powerless to submit these to the conference. As a ‘minor shareholder’ the conference will not allow me do so.
I could go on all day about what he and me and my people have been up to, or not as the case maybe, but it is pointless. I have no further wish to be embroiled in these pointless arguments, when saving the club should be the only concern.
I wish I could give you better news, but as it stands, unless there is radical movement, I expect Salisbury to be expelled from the conference on the 4th of July. The HMRC winding up petition which needs to be paid shortly will then call closure on the club as we know it.
As fans we need to face the real possibility that there will be no Salisbury City Football club playing next season.
You will all no doubt draw your own conclusions but I felt it was about time you all heard the brutal reality of where we are.
The club has over the last 6 years become a massive part of my families lives. We have had some wonderful times and made a lot of very good friends. Those memories, and those friends are something no one can take away from us. I, Michaela and all those that have supported our efforts the last weeks are heartbroken to be taking the decision to walk away, but there really is no other option.
If there is an appetite for a phoenix club, count me in.
Mark Winter

The Conference have a lot to answer for leaving the league with an odd number of teams if the seemingly inevitable comes to fruition. Why they weren't thrown out needs a detailed explanation IMO. Makes me laugh as well the number of comments you hear from Salisbury fans about this fraud costing them blah blah blah. They were deep in it without him and the outcome would have been the same without some sort of serious new investment.

I have some difficulty understanding the Winter statement. He complains about the Conf not doing a fit and proper test on Touzar but wasnt't it Winter, reported to be Touzar's co-owner, who brought him into the club in the first place as a saviour and set him up with 98% of the club for a pound? Wasn't it down to him to do a bit of due dilligence rather than take the word of some nameless bloke who he bumped into who claimed to work for Capita? you can blame the Conference for a lot but you can't lay it on them for your own negligence.
Did he have a legally binding shareholders agreement in place on what was expected from Touzar as his side of the deal and specifically dealing with the liabilities? It appears not, and with 98% of the equity in the business he could probably have torn it up anyway and if he is really still taking cash out of the club then he must have been granted access to the bank accounts by whoever the previous signatories/trustees are and by his co-owner and shareholders?
The idea of another "Phoenix" club effort sounds laudable enough but who is it that actually owns the ground and any lease on it? I would like to see some information on that. Of course I feel some sympathy with the hard core Salisbury supporter but without some better explanation as to who took the key decisions that led to this shambles that is about as far as it goes.
It matters to us for a number of reasons - not least because as a Conf South side once again the start of our coming season is disjointed same as it was last time ny Fraudboro and their delayed start.
