And Carshalton lost 2-1 at home to Egham. Shame really - that was the only chance of stuffing meeting them in a competition this season. I would have brought along a remote-controlled drone with a Sutton flag attached to it!

The chips have gone downhill i'm afraid ! At South Park? Do you mean 'downhill' or do you just mean that you're not keen on them? For several seasons now they've been done the same way by the same chap. It all depends if you like thin-cut chips or the greasy blobs you buy at chip shops. I went to see Hassocks a few weeks ago and their chips were really chunky and underdone. Yuk! Prefer South Park's well-cooked thin chips any day.

That's what we have been lacking this season, a debate about the quality of chips!!

That's what we have been lacking this season, a debate about the quality of chips!! Ah yes, an integral part of the football experience. Much like bornatotter and his 'slippers'!

No i didn't like the ones i got this season.Like eating cardboard. I remember them being much better than that. If you mean done' means pouring them out of a plastic bag into the fryer !

Interestingly, the holders, Woking, got knocked out of the Surrey Senior this evening - hammered 3-0 at home by Ashford Town. It was a fairly strong line-up they put out as well.

Woking do tend to put out strong teams in the SSC - that is an interesting result. I reckon we could win it this year if we take it seriously...

I certainly think we will be taking it seriously for now give our very light mid week schedule to date. Obviously things may change in the 2nd half of the season if the weather turns.

I certainly think we will be taking it seriously for now give our very light mid week schedule to date. Obviously things may change in the 2nd half of the season if the weather turns. I was only thinking the other day how daft it is that, so far, we've only been scheduled to play two leagues on a Tuesday. Given the problems all non-league teams experienced with last season's terrible weather it would have been more sensible to get extra games in early and leave a couple of Saturdays free in the Spring for the inevitable postponements. Hopefully it won't be too much of an issue this season because we've only got 40 league games to play this time, but I do wish there was more consideration given to those at non-league level.
(Apologies for digressing off-topic on a Surrey Senior Cup thread, but some things do exasperate me. Don't get me started on the issue of video replays! The best part of 15 bleedin' years I've been advocating those...okay, deep breaths, think of a happy place...)

Yep would love a good run in the Surrey Senior this year what with last seasons very early exit plus a fair few of our players needing extra game time (we've only played 15 games in 3 months).
Not really fearing any of the teams in the cup what with Woking's surprise exit last night, also no Dulwich in this seasons cup - anyone know why?
I see on the Surrey FA site our game at South Park is scheduled for the 2nd December.

Who are the favourites now?
AFC Wimbledon? Sutton Utd?
