Interesting game, and a good cup tie. Sutton were the better throughout, but Burgess Hill played their part. Replaying due to the League confirming they'd played inelligble players, Sutton were pleased to be weakened - with captain Tommy Hughes, leading scorer Harry Ottaway and able full-back Dean Sammut with the first team.
Always looked like goals, Burgess Hill had possession but never troubled Joe McLoughlin in the first half, while Sutton were more incisive with several missed opportunities. Did finally score with a Chris Beard header from deep out wide looping into the corner and then a cracking chip from Jerson dos Santos. Think Jack got the third about fifteen minutes into the second half - a well-drilled effort. We looked solid and useful. Wish Jerson would not get offside as much, he has the pace at this level to run from deeper, as he did for his goal.
