Oh dear, feel really bad after that, we had no luck and the referee was the poorest I have seen all season. Losing Tanner to a terrible tackle before the break and the ref not taking any action against persistent and dangerous tackles from a physical (no rough) side was a big blow. For 20mins in the second half we showed what we could do and deserved a second which never came. Undone by 2 set pieces when I feel had Scooby been playing we would defended better? We did not create enough after their second and they never looked in danger of being pegged back our confidence just drained.
Basingstoke were a horrible team to play against and the laws of the game been correctly implemented they would have been down to 10 maybe even 9, but when your down there you can expect it I guess.
We do have hope but I reckon our next win will need Scooby at the back, and we missed Greene in the middle today.
Oh yeah! As for the fat bird clearing her throat if I see her I am going to shoot her cos we can still stay up!!

Craig Dundass scored in the 57min with Stoke scoring 67 and 72 minutes Now 10points behind 4th placed Bognor, with a game in hand.

There wasn't a lot between the teams, but a home win would have flattered us slightly. Dundas kept his head well to put us ahead, but we then failed to capitalise on some good pressure. Unfortunate defending of a free kick gifted Michael Charles the equaliser, and an excellent delivery into our box allowed Charles to get his second. After that we rarely looked like getting back into the game. This is the sort of fixture that we need to win if we're going to climb out of the relegation pit. Although there are signs of improvement under Ernie Howe, the harsh truth is that we've only accumulated one point from the four league matches since he took over. St Albans won today, which makes things even more difficult for us. It looks like a long hard winter ahead.

Afraid I'm starting to get a little depressed myself. I have joined a lot of other supporters who think we have now had it. Sorry everyone.
But I'll be at RPV on Wednesday and Welling Saturday to cheer on the lads. Come on you yelloows!!

Was an annoying afternoon in many ways. I felt that the ref was a bottler, as 'stoke made a number or 'strong' tackles which really should of warranted yellow cards, but the only caution was shown to the player who made the 'challenge' that saw Tanner taken off the field by a stretcher. Saying that we didn't create anything after 'stoke scored and our defending for both goals was rather suspect i felt.
As for the doom and gloom, we aren't out of it yet. True our situation is heading towards the hopeless, BUT, we still have to play Welling twice, Bognor twice and we've still got to play Maidenhead, Dorchester and St Albans again. It can still be done!

After the most mediocre of first halves we took the initiative to go 1 nil up (credit to us) and were favourites to go 2 nil up, best 15 minutes from a Sutton side in a long while.
Bloddy unfortunate for Bash to turn into trouble and the oppo to score from the free kick.
We lost, our fault, but oh my Flipping god, why did the ref not give a second yellow to their ^, Tyrone Smith, for exactly the same thing that he booked Honey for? Absolite bottle job of the highest order and we should've been chasing ten men, not eleven for the last 15.
The cahllenge on Craig could've been a straight red. For the ref to book Paul Honey and not Smith for the same offence was outrageous. Bollocks!

Ihave to say fella's and I am going to try to be positive, falling further adrift today, losing yet another home game,we seem to be right in the mire, half way through the season is there really any hope, opinions welcomed, the positive is that the scum down the road lost again today so at least we wont have to play them as they may be in a lower division than us,but really where is the next victory going to come and E.H getting out of the bottom three by christmas, looks really unlikely, what is our real target of points and will it be enough.

Well we're not going to get out of the bottom 3 by Xmas now....it's not possible. Nor is getting off the bottom spot.
I still think if we can pick up 4 points out of Welling & Stortford, we've got half a chance.
What that will mean though is that everyone pays attention, Everyone supports the team, home and away, I don't want to slag off our support but I can't help wondering where the players on the pitch can get any inspiration if they hear some of what's being shouted from a number of people behind the goal for most of the match. It's almost as if it's a midweek social behind that goal at the moment listening to some of the conversations. I appreciate that a lot of people are handling the situation we're in differently, but at least watch the fcking game.....cliquey jokes during games may be funny amongst youselves, but ffs....you're supposed to be Sutton supporters first and foremost. Save the jokes for the bar.

Here Here!
The simple fact is we got 26 games left and we only need to win 12 of em to stay up and we can do that!

I think at this point, we should focus on one game at the time. There is no point in wondering if we stay up or not. The history of Sutton United does not end at the the end of this season! The only thing that matters now is to enjoy the next game, and maybe pick up a point or three! Amber 4-ever!
