Following last night's defeat by Welling United in the Setanta Shield Bromley Manager, Mark Goldberg tendered his resignation to the Board.
Chairman, Jeremy Dolke has reluctantly accepted saying "Mark has decided to step down, he has been unable to commit as much time as he would like to the job in recent weeks and felt that he was letting the Club and himself down. I would like to put on record my thanks for the tremendous job he did in such a short time in charge. What we have achieved has been fantastic and his contribution to that success was a massive one."
I also see Alan Reeves has been taken on board ine the capacity of Defensive Coach WTF !!!
The Club will not be issuing any further statements today.

Interesting comment posted on the Bromley board on Thursday.....
In the bar after our recent Setanta Shield match , I heard one player asking another if he had been paid because he hadnt for 2 weeks. He was then asking how long you had to go unpaid before invoking a breach of contract clause and becoming a free agent . Disturbingly this was not a fringe player in fact in my opinion he's our best player ! Upon leaving the bar the chairman was moaning about paying 8k a week for that S**t , low and behold the next day MG steps down , what next ?

In answer to that players question, I think it's 6 weeks.

According to the news on BBC Radio 2, MG quit to manage his daughter's singing career. How is that story worthy of a national news bulletin?
