As with any stat, there is always another side to the story, 3 of those 5 games have been against teams at least 2 divisions below us!
But regardless, a win is a win, and we are still in 2 cups because of it. We are scoring more and letting in less. The next 5 games that take us to the new year will be of great interest.
And now the team is starting to remember what a win looks like. So yes I agree with os, there is a turn, just hoping the turn is quick and dramatic enough to save the season. If Ern achieves that, then he will go down in history as one of Sutton's great managers, and it would be an amazing achievement.

Andy, I think you should be puting Chippenham in there with Chipstead & Egham. They are a strong SPL team who iirc have made their playoffs twice out of the past three years and currently head that league.

The two points about last night are that we made it to the next round and ended the CCL bogey. After going one up in the first 10 mins we looked to lay siege on the RPV goal (as it should be) but then lost our way & they could have gone in in front at ht with better finishing.
The goal immediately after the break really ended RPV's hopes & but for their 'keeper & some last ditch defending it could have beem more than the five it was.
Can't say I'm going to get excited over this result, especially as the last twenty minutes of the first half was really bad from U's point of view considering the opposition.

I agree with markf, some of our passing and central defending in the first half would surely have been punished at a higher level! Nevertheless we came away with smiles on our faces having seen our much beleagured score five goals and keep a clean sheet.

In my opinion Ernie was experimenting last night and it was very much a squad team.Nicky was Ok up front with Dundas but he seems more effective just behind a front two.I expect Scooby to start on saturday next to Jack as they looked decidedly better together in the second half as opposed to the other pairing in the first.I suppose who starts up front with Dundas depends upon the fitness of Jason. Anyway, job done, confidence gained and lets get all 3 points at Welling.

Looking at the W&H message board, it appears that Met Police won tonight
