Very comfortable in the end. Sutton started off brightly, and won a penalty within 5 minutes, which Greene comfortably converted to make it 1-0. Rest of the half was poor with Raynes Park creating more chances but those chances weren't a major threat on Sutton's goal. Almost as soon as the 2nd half began Sutton were 2-0 up when Greene converted after good work by McBean. With about 15 minutes to go Sutton were 3-0 to the good when Dundas hit a shot at short distance to make it 3 goals in 3 games in his Sutton career. McBean soon made it 4-0 with a good strike from distance which was the best goal of the night. Sutton could of had 2 further goals but the Raynes Park 'keeper did well both times, before Opara made it 5-0 with another shot from short-range.
Not the best performance overall, but a win is a win, and we're through to the next round of the SSC. Let's hope it's a confidence boost ahead of Saturday's game.

Home to Met Police or Walton & Hersham in the next round.
Should we win that one, we'll be away to Woking or Walton Casuals

Actually, Warren's was the third goal - the pick of the bunch! And for the fourth, the shot went in off a defender who was trying to clear the ball.
Having succumbed to Combined Counties League opposition in the last two seasons, Sutton at last made their higher status count in this competition. Raynes Park Vale put up some brave resistance, particularly through their keeper, but were pretty much overwhelmed in the last twenty minutes.
Let's hope this result gives our lads some added confidence for the trip to another park on Saturday.

A very good result against possibly one of the worst sides I've seen for years, especially in defence. (although actually their goalie was quite good). A fair result that didn't flatter us, on many occasions we ran rings round them. Its the sort of scoreline we should be getting against this sort of opposition - thinking back over the last few years when we failed to get results against Chipstead, Chippenham, Uxbridge, Egham etc.
Will do the lads a massive boost in confidence to take with them to Welling on Saturday, a game that is highly winnable. Harry looked good when he came on, he could well develop into a good player. Nicky scored our first successful penalty of the season. And i've not seen someone so happy to score as Ouzo for years.
A good night and a job well done. Walton and Hersham or Met police await us at GGL in the next round

Now tell me the 'Ern Ain't a Turnin'
Seriously folks that is not bad in such a short period of time?
