Very sorry to hear about the death of Junior Dian who collapsed last night twenty minutes after coming on as a second half sub for Tonbridge Angels. My thoughts are with his family, Steve McKimm and his staff, and all Angels supporters everywhere - A very sad time indeed.

Very sad news. Around 12 young people die each week due to undiagnosed heart problems. It only makes the news when well-known athletes are struck down in their prime, it is sadly too common. Maybe Sutton United should encourage all their playing staff to have a free screening? www.testmyheart.org.uk

Twelve each WEEK? That's terrible. Very interesting website Stewart. I note that the up & coming sessions at Tooting are already fully booked but that you can express an interest in future events. I seem to recall Dos and Bruce stating that SUFC have been campaigning, or do provide, testing for all players? Even so, ANYBODY reading this now who are between 14 & 35 should seriously think about having this test.

Very sad news and like others have said, thoughts are with his family and friend right now.
I am with Ohhahh in that I almost didn't believe it would be 12 each week. The need for testing needs to made more public somehow to stop similar tragedies in the future.

If you can’t find or get a free check you can pay and for around £30 it is well worth it.
