So, will England's new Italian manager make a "Fab" start to his new job ?
You can be there to find out. England's next game will be against Switzerland at Wembley on 6th February. We have an advance opportunity to purchase tickets, which cost either £40 or £50 each. If you would like to go, please let me know by return e-mail. I need to book the tickets by 7th January and I am afraid I will need your money in advance.

I assume you are happier with this appointment rather than the last man?

How can anyone not be happier with this appointment than the last one?!

I liked the chap on the radio this morning who said that Capello only needs to learn 3 words in English: "Lampard you're dropped" .

Perhaps the caller could then be taught to count, as "Lampard you're dropped" is technically four words !

I could think of a similar way of telling fat Frank he was dropped that definitely only uses three words!! ;D

Then surely you'd need to drop Gerrard aswell as neither performs well enough in an England shirt IMO.

I've been of the opinion that Lampard shouldn't be in the England team for quite some time now, but I must agree with Chalmers - Gerrard has been utter rubbish for us lately and should be dropped even if it is just to give him a kick up the backside. Whoever pulls on the England shirt should be setting an example to all other English players - they should be proud and passionate, giving 100 percent. Neither Lampard nor Gerrard can honestly say that of themselves over the past few months or so. It should be an honour to represent your country, not a chore.

Surely the problem is that when Lampard & Gerrard play together they seem to inhibit each other. Hopefully a proper coach will be able to sort that out.

Gerrard can't be dropped in case he retires in a sulk from England duty like his bottle-job mate!! Can he?

Judging by his body language and contribution to the match after Beckham came on against Croatia at Wembley, I'd say he's already got issues!
Still, he's fast becoming the new John Barnes anyway.

Would that include the pin-point cross for Crouch's goal?
I think his time is up, but for the goal against Greece, I would give him his 100th cap - as for comparing Beckham with Barnes - you are joking!

I was of course referring to Gerrard Mr F! Was quite busy until Beckham came on against Croatia and then did nothing, seemingly in a strop that someone more famous than him was daring to overshadow the mighty Stevie G. Then again, I've not got a lot good to say about most of the current England squad.....

I think this clip sums up Gerrard's contribution to the current England team.
