Sounds like a solid win, gutted to have missed it. Any cameras there?

We scored three very good goals. The first, a brilliant strike from Ross Stearn (I suppose you could have predicted that) the second a well worked effort finished by Craig Eastmond but set up by Dan Fitchett, the third a great pursuit and very clever finish by Craig McAllister.
At the other end, Louis John recovered from a sticky start to star alongside Dean Beckwith while Ross Worner made one outstanding save early in the second half and showed some excellent handling.
For Bath, Pratt and Watkins proved as lively as ever but in the end not lively enough.
This was a good performance from Sutton, ending City's unbeaten home record and continuing some fine form at Twerton Park over a good few years now.
For the ref; a match to forget. Firstly our third goal came from a blatant foul by Bedsente while Dan Wishart's dismissal was preceded by two obvious Bath fouls. Not sure too, if that wasn't Dundo's 5th caution of the campaign, adding to our unfortunate discipline woes. Bairdy's early departure too seemed more about the ref reacting to the crowd than anything else. This guy was the absolute opposite of our mate from the Truro match. Back then every foul was a card today many, many illegal challenges from both sides were permitted to go unchecked.
As for their fans, my god! After last season's 90 mins of over reaction after their fella was quite rightly sent off in the first minute, today, it wasn't far off from the start again. It was practically every decision and indeed non-decision that provoked them.
When it comes down to it, their team was, for the most part, second best today and U's earned the three points with some good goals, some very good defensive play and a lot of hard work. I just hope Dan Spence and Kevin Amankwaah are ok. Kev was the victim of a bad, late tackle in the dieing embers of the game that went unpunished and Dan didn't finish the match.

An eventful match, and another impressive away performance from Sutton. Three great goals and some great goalkeeping too to preserve our lead. As so often, though, there were blemishes for Sutton: a penalty conceded, the injury to Dan Spence, and our fifth red card of the season.
The victory continues our unbeaten league record at Twerton Park (though we have lost there in the FA Cup and Trophy). At this level of football we've now won four and drawn one out of five. But Bath's corresponding record at GGL is also impressive: three wins and one draw out of four.
