Just a reminder that it's FREE admission for anyone aged 16 or under for Monday's FA Trophy tie. Prices for adults are reduced to £10 and for concessions it's just £5.

What Concord will we be up against tonight, the one that lost at home to Hayes or the side that won at Whitehawk? Let's hope it's the former

Sutton's league record at GGL may be underwhelming this season, but we can boast an 100% home record in the Cups. This was an open game, with decent chances at both ends, but I don't think Concord can have any complaint about the outcome. Their cause wasn't helped when their influential midfielder James White limped off in the first half. Jordan Cox, the loan player whose involvement in the first game led to this re-match, unsurprisingly didn't feature tonight. As on Saturday we took the lead shortly before half-time, Fitch following in after Dundo's shot had come off a combination of bar and keeper. Unlike on Saturday we didn't suffer a second-half wobble. Ross Stearn proved that he can score from a free kick, flighting a superb effort just inside the keeper's right-hand post to make it 2-0. Concord had a spell of late pressure but we didn't look much like surrendering the lead. I'm sure all at the club are delighted to be through to the 1st round of the Trophy, albeit by a rather strange route. But the team does now face a heavy schedule of fixtures through to mid-January. The 1st round game at home to Lowestoft is expected to be played in the week beginning 4 January.

Great win. I'm absolutely delighted but gutted I couldn't be there tonight. The boys are playing great football and we have a fantastic squad. It's quite telling actually as there's no chopping and changing like previous years.
I met a guy that goes and watches Tooting a bit when Palace are away and he was complaining that he didn't recognise the side each time he went as the manager kept on bringing in new players! So he doesn't go anymore. I've told him to come down and watch us as we are going places.
Well done lads

Great win tonight. Jamie Collins after an indifferent performance on Saturday, was simply outstanding tonight. Along with our ever reliable number 1 and the rest of the boys at the back, a clean sheet was well deserved.
What a beauty that free kick was from Stearn for the second!!
Up the U's! Loving it at the moment!!

Poor old Surrey Senior, always getting forgotten!
It's a bit weird though that we had nothing but away draws in the F.A. Cup and now a string of home draws in the Trophy. What with being reinstated and being drawn out of the hat first three times running, some might start believing in a certain destiny....
Edit: Before anybody chips in, yes, strictly speaking we weren't drawn out of the hat first against Concord, but you know what I mean.

Report from the Echo News CONCORD Rangers could not repeat their victory over Sutton United as their FA Trophy journey came to an end. The match was a re-arranged tie, after the FA ordered the match to be played again after Concord had admitted to a charge of playing an ineligible player in the original fixture. The Beach Boys had won that match 3-1, having lost 3-0 in the league just a week later, and the first-half was also an exciting affair. Sutton were on the offensive in the early exchanges, with a strike that tested Ben McNamara in the away goal, although Steve Cawley was causing problems at the other end. The striker maneuvered space and fired on target but Ross Worner produced a fine save between the Sutton posts. Concord winger Ben Greenhalgh was denied after he got his shot away under pressure, as Lewis Taaffe also threatened, although Sutton came closest to forcing the opener. A free-kick was clipped in and, beating McNamara, the ball hit the underside of the bar and looked as though it crossed the line, but referee Ashvin Degnarain shook his head. But Sutton did get the goal before the interval. A fine long-range effort hammered the bar and Dan Flitchett tapped in the rebound. Sutton started the second-half in the ascendancy too, and doubled their lead just after the hour mark. A free-kick in a central area was curled home by Ross Stearn. Both sides exchanged chances to get an important third goal in the tie, with the home side looking the more likely and they held on for the victory. www.echo-news.co.uk/sport/football/nonleague/14160066.Concord_Rangers___FA_Trophy_dream_dies_at_Sutton/

Held on ? It was a tough physical match though & full credit to the team for the way they performed so soon after Saturdays's game.
