The official site confirms the date as Mon 4 January (7.45 k.o.)
If a replay is required in Suffolk it would be on Tues 12th.

That one will clash nicely with a televised premier league match but interestingly there is no Champions League on that week.If we want a better attendance why is it not played on the Tuesday ? Yesterday we saw a meagre 251 paying spectators as the match clashed with Arsenal v Manchester city !

It also clashed with Christmas, wasn't so widely publicised and was an "all pay" game. Not sure the Arsenal game had much to do with it.

No one will have any money after Christmas & into the new year and a Monday night 1st thing after Xmas is tough on everyone but just a idea to hopefully get 30 or 40 Lowestoft supporters to the game ( I'm sure they will make it up in the bar ect)..why not arrange with LTFC that away supporters get a discount on entry & if the game goes to a replay we will get the same at their place? just this once? I'm sure this makes sense to both clubs

Can't believe some are still moaning about Monday night's on here. It is an experiment and our given midweek day, so get used to it.
Also note that when Maidstone hosted Bognor, the gate was down about 1,000 on the average. Early FAT rounds rarely capture the public's imagination whatever day the matches are played on.

Looking forward to playing Lowestoft again after our two battles against them in the Ryman 2010/11 season. I see they're struggling in the Conf North this season and had ex-U Mickey Spillane sent off at Telford on Saturday.
I've heard people say the Conf North is a stronger division than the South but we'd surely be favourites for this tie wouldn't we?

I've never bought into that myself - and if you look back over the last few seasons, more "south" teams have made it into the league and more "north" teams have been relegated into the N/S - hence why we have both Stortford and Oxford back in the South when they played in the north.

I'm sure this makes sense to both clubs Surely if we want to increase the attendance, a better thing would be to reduce the entrance to all - remember all us season ticket holders will have to pay too - why would reducing the away supporters entry have any significance on the people in the ground? Frakey is right though - I think we'd not get many there either way and it's a balance between maximising the income or increasing the size of the crowd - they don't always go hand in hand! The Surrey Senior is different because the majority of sides in the competition play below us in the pyramid and the way it is at the moment it's the least attractive to the regular supporter of all 3 cup competitions. Sorry guys if I was one of decision makers, I'd keep it set at the normal price, and hope the team delivers the extra £5k prize money a win would give us.

Yes but surely common sense can prevail. After all we moved from Tuesday to Monday to avoid Champions League clashes on the TV.

I have occasionally wondered if the club would consider reducing cup match prices for season ticket holders (might just help with season ticket sales as well), or perhaps following the example of at least some clubs higher up the pyramid and allowing supporters one free cup game (though this year we could easily have ended up with the SSC being the only cup we had a home game in )

I think Monday night games work better with Tuesday/Thursday training. Players who got injuries can get treatment, those who played can have a light session, those who didn't can have a good workout.

Am I missing something, I thought we had switched to daytime training on all week days a few years back?
