I got to say that our pitch is playing fantastic in these conditions. We probably have one of the best playing surfaces outside the premiership at the moment. To know we don't have to worry about rain and frost is great and I am sure others will be eyeing our pitch up with envious eyes. But we do need to upgrade our floodlights, maybe add a couple of extra bulbs on each? Couple of extra bulbs? Couple of extra pylons, more like! I've often queried the brightness with the boys up top, they were 'state of the art' when installed. Are they cleaned bulbs, new bulbs or have they just lost their power? Perhaps DaveF can give us some figures, Flux value required at this level, value when installed, current value.

Not commenting on a redress remark.Just that Wealdstone's last home game was December 5th and you would think that the club would do all they could to get the game on for a bank Holiday crowd. It's been wet but all i can say is that their drainage must be dreadful and i was under the impression that all "National League sides had to meet a certain standard ". The same problem appears to have happened at Braintree Town, last season they got well behind with their fixtures because of a waterlogged pitch and they had to fit a lot of games in during the last few weeks of the season.........it would seem the same problem is about to occur again this season as they've had to postpone their last 2 home League Games ( although they somehow managed to get the FA Trophy game v Bromley played in between ! ) so not sure what the level of "standard" is set at

Christmas is a wonderful time of year , especially for those lucky enough to spend it with their young children and other family members.
However , if there is a game on at Wealdstone then you just have to go !

I've often wondered about our lights.I seem to recall them being a lot brighter when they were first installed and thought we may have toned them down a bit for the neighbours. On the other hand it might just be my eyesight !

However , if there is a game on at Wealdstone then you just have to go ! That remark couldn't possibly be directed at me, could it? Yes Billy, I'm a terrible parent. Having woken up several times most nights for 7 months and not once stayed in bed beyond 7am in that time, it would be scandalous if I were allowed one or two days off. Being a robot or something, I don't need time to myself and will just become a better and better parent the more exhausted, stressed and sleep-deprived I become. Obviously being exhausted and stressed couldn't possibly impact negatively on not just myself but my whole family in any way, shape or form. And of course, I'm also a terrible parent if I fail to observe a festival of a religion I don't practise, three days after that festival's feast day. How terribly selfish of me. I'm afraid I missed Eid and Diwali too. I'm so sorry. I shall bear this in mind. Cheeky git.

Well I am always going on about the lights, I know they were serviced in September but they do degrade when used, and due to the 3G pitch they are being used a lot more, so maybe they need more services. Having said that our camera is not seeing a huge amount of difference between matches filmed this season and those 4 season's ago. I think we simply need more lights or even brighter ones if available in the same sockets?
