Our game at Wealdstone may have been called off, as well as a couple others, but that didn't stop several other NLS games getting done and dusted this afternoon:
Basingstoke 1-0 H&Y Concord 2-2 Stortford Dartford 1-1 Margate Maidenhead 2-3 Hemel Maidstone 2-1 Eastbourne St Albans 1-1 Chelmsford Whitehawk 0-1 Ebbsfleet
Ebbsfleet now 13 points ahead of us but with 20 games to go it's certainly not their title yet, Maidstone go above us but a win in our game in hand puts us back in 2nd on goal difference.

Whoops, I think we were posting about this at the same time. Far more sensible to start a new thread!

Yeah, but at least it stalls Whitehawk a bit - they are close on our heels.

I don't know the fixtures list but there's quite a few teams that with games in hand played could be a point above or a point behind us so we're probably not going to find many results where we completely 'win', I would have preferred a Whitehawk win or maybe a draw because let's not care too much about the teams below us because we know how to keep it that way. We want to catch the team above us!

Ebbsfleet will be well chuffed with their three points today. If their form in the second half of the season matches that in the first then they'd finish with around 95 points. To match that, we'd need to win 19 of our remaining 20 league matches. Unless the Fleet suffer a Bromley-esque collapse then the title is theirs. That collapse is possible, but not very likely. We're in great form, but reaping the consequences of a stuttering start to the season - and perhaps also that failed late penalty kick at Stonebridge Road in September. But it's no use crying over spilt milk. The priority now must be holding on to a play-off place. Our players may benefit from a rest today, and Dos will be targeting three points at the Camrose next Saturday.
