Dos says he's taking it one game at a time. And here's the next one.
Eastbourne are probably the most "mid table" side in the league - they have a slim chance of making the play offs but by the same token a slim chance of being sucked into a relegation battle. Only Ebbsfleet have played more games than them, and in the form guide they sit in the middle with 2 wins 2 draws and 2 defeats in the last 6.

Another big game, another win needed. The character of the squad cannot be called into question after Monday's efforts so I expect them to continue rising to the challenges they are presented with, both by Eastbourne and being in a title race.

All big games now and lets hope we can score early so we don't get anxious.I think that Ebbsfleet will edge past Hayes & Yeading but Maidstone have a very difficult encounter with St.Albans who are on a great run of form & they will do well to get a point.

I'm certainly going on the presumption that Ebbsfleet and Maidstone will win every game (except against us perhaps), and any other results will be a bonus. As has been for quite a while, the destination of the title is in our hands!

Looking forward to today's game. Hopefully a strong gate given the significance of the fixture and also a bit of sun (at least for now!)
Hoping for a win for my birthday!!

Another big tick in the character box. Massive 3 points. On to Tuesday. Quite frankly I think it's bordering on negligent if at least segregation isn't in place Tuesday given the importance of the game and probable crowd. Wish was superb today, particularly 2nd half, very good player. Should probably have scored another 1 or 2 goals from his deliveries. I would have started Bailey or Dundas instead of Slabber today and given wide men and Gomis full licence to push on. Once we matched their system 2nd half we looked a lot better, credit to the management for getting the extra midfield man on at ht. And of course it had the added advantage of pushing Wish on. On we go.

Big fan of Ross Stearn but taking him off at HT and playing 3-5-2 with Wishart going down outside as left wing back really changed the game for us.
Lot more drive and more byline crosses going in. Lead to first goal and numerous back post chances.
Stearn and Wish arguing throughout the first half. Slabber and Fitchett don't seem to be on same wavelength neither so Dos has a few big calls for Tuesday night.
We need to start getting back to our passing game it's as simple as that for me though. We tend to try and force things in the first half of last two games. Long aimless balls forward etc..
A good win nonetheless though!. As already mentioned the boys showed bottle again.

Legends Day at the Lane this afternoon and by half-time they must have been wondering how either team could be playing at NLS level. The worst half of football on the 3G this season. Littered with free-kicks, mini bust ups and little in the way of decent attacking football.
Boro' set their stall out from the off using one of their main attacking threats, Gavin McCallum, in a withdrawn role on the left flank to counteract Tom B's threat - it worked. With Stearny not really at the races today U's main threat came from the movement of the front two but U's rarely threatened the Boro' goal with Fitch squandering the best opportunity possibly believing that he was offside after Tom B's low effort had been blocked. For 'Boro it was a silly free-kick that got their goal the ball dropping nicely for Pinney to tuck home. One down again at ht.
Dos and Able seemed to be having a serious discussion in the dug out before the break and so to hatch the plan. Off came Stearny for Dundo a back 3 with Dan W pushed up higher down the left - it worked. Simpbemba turned the ball into his own net under pressure from Fitch from a great Dan W cross and not long after Louis J rose high from a set piece and his header was guided home by the head of Bedse. U's had a number of opportunities to increase their lead - a couple of headers that Peter Drabwell (sitting in the stand) would have fancied in his pomp not hitting the target.
A third goal wouldn't come and while Boro' still posed an attacking threat they rarely looked like scoring until Louis J' short back pass forced Ross W into a hurried clearance taking a knock in the process. He didn't look totally comfortable after and by god I hope he is ok.
We should have had a pen for a handball and I thought Tom B was fouled inside the box (sufctv may prove me wrong) but a win while not on top form against decent opposition will do rather nicely.
I've seen this ref have better afternoons but I've seen far worse from a number of others this season.
As you were then with Maidstone bouncing back and 'Fleet hammering a Hayes & Yeading side that look like they are heading for the trap door.
Onto Tuesday. We will have to play better than today but we wouldn't be third in the league if we weren't capable. Should be interesting.

Tom B's one where he goes over wasn't a pen. Got it on my phone as i filmed hoping Collins would score from free kick.
He pulls leg hoping for contact and to defender credit he didn't fall for it. Will try and upload in a bit.
I agree though Mark referee was poor.

I meant the one we got a free kick for on the edge of the box not the one that Tom B got booked for simulation.

We did make hard work of it today but in the end came through.Unfortunately so did Gravesend & Maidstone so we go again on Tuesday in front of a packed house hoping that we can jump ahead of Maidstone & close the gap at the top.
