Sent off just before the break? It was after about 20 minutes, wasn't it?

Lordy, you read quick - and well spotted. Getting mixed up with another game. Corrected.

No way can you appeal it. It's a sending off all day long. One you might get away with occasionally but the arm comes out so under the laws of the game it's a red. Doesn't make the reaction any less embarrassing. If he just shrugs it off maybe it is just a yellow and we get on with it, but Kev gave the keeper the opportunity to react and the ref a decision to make.

Spot on, you'll see on our forum a quote from a qualified ref and he states had Worgan stayed on his feet it would only have been a yellow.

maidstoneunitedfc.proboards.com/thread/5928/sutton-utd-highlightsif you want to see the sending off then watch it thanks to Maidstones TV highlights. Is it a red card? no does the keeper go down like he has been shot? yes. but it won't get overturned because he raised his arm slightly and the FA aren't very forgiving with stuff like that however little the bloke was touched.

Perhaps if the ref had correctly given a corner then Worgan would have had no reason to be anywhere near Kevin.

Great i thought i'd have to wait till tonight or tomorrow morning for highlights.
Maidstone defending for both goals left a lot to be desired. I'm sure they will be questioning a few individuals for those goals.
Well taken by us though. Nice to see Craig E find the back of the net!.
Edit: Whoops forgot the thread subject. I think it won't get recinded personally. Contact is made with the face which i think they will say is suffice to give him a ban.
Kevin does seem to suffer badly with his groin. It may look to them as him going down for nothing but to us who've watched him enough know he probably was in some pain. I doubt he was timewasting 24 minutes into the game which judging by the keepers continued pulling at Kevin he seemed to believe he was.
He lashed out and left himself open to that reaction and decision especially being away from home in such a big game. I would expect Kevin with all his experience to be more thoughtful but people react differently and make mistakes.
Kevin has been great for us so i don't want to be to critical of him.
I'm normally highly critical of refs especially at this level as they leave me baffled weekly by their decisions but i can't really moan at the guy. He played safe with that decision. He only sees it once blah blah.
To me it's not a red card it's a shove but as i say Kevin's been around long enough to know what the keeper was trying to do with the pulling.
As for Worgan.. who says it's just foreign players who simulate snd feign injury. Sad to see..

WHAT!
IMHO that's a very poor and unnecessary decision by the referee. He could easily have given the benefit of the doubt to Kevin, and like most referees just given a ticking off to both players. Kev just pushes away the persistent Worgan, who has no right to be pulling him in the first place. His hand may have brushed against Worgan's neck/face but that is not certain from the video. The lino did not raise his flag or make any signal to the ref who probably had a good view
This is the sort of incident which occurs every match. The red card should be rescinded and Worgan charged with simulation

Irrespective of Mr Worgan's reactions and the nature of the incident, I would doubt that the club would win an appeal, particularly if you look at Bedse's red card at Ebbsfleet being maintained after an appeal.

Red Card end of....stupid to raise his arm like that. As stated though if the correct decision of a corner was given in the first place this would never have happened.

What's the likely suspension damage? 3 games?
