Fantastic news. Massive relief, and on a personal level I may actually be present for a promotion!
BTW thanks Tim for all you do in reporting our club. I know you have a big patch to cover, but I think the coverage we've received has been excellent. Oh, and your tweets on Saturday were a life saver

Agree about the tweets on Saturday. Was stuck in a hotel room in Birmingham and couldn't stop refreshing for your updates

Think I may have just celebrated reading this more than I did us winning last week. It was always a bit of a weird feeling when we won the Ryman in 10/11 because it wasn't because of our own result, tomorrow we can do it 'properly' in a higher league at home!

That afternoon at Cray Wanderers when the result gave us the title was a great afternoon though. Everybody kept quiet until the end when we had a bit of scarf waving and cheering. I went back to my local afterwards and everyone stood up and applauded me in. Great day but I do get your point about winning it on the pitch ourselves.

At a hearing before a Sub-Committee of The National League held.... ....on Friday 22nd April 2016, a charge against Sutton United FC for fielding an ineligible player in its match against St Albans City FC in The National League South on Saturday, 5th March 2016 took place.
Upon the club’s admission to the charge, Sutton United FC was found guilty of a breach of Rule 6.9 and was fined £500 for the offence and warned to their future conduct.
In a separate hearing held this week Sutton United FC were also warned by the Football Association in relation to matters in relation to the ineligibility of the same player Jamie Slabber in the same match.

I was thinking earlier about our league titles in recent history. 1998-99 we won the league on a Thursday night. Not a usual time to do it! 2010-11 we won it on a Sunday, without playing 2015-16 we have pretty much (for all intents and purposes) won it in a Friday without playing because the FA decided not to dock us any points...

Oh yeah, and today is the 17th anniversary of that happy day in 1999 when we walloped Aldershot 5-0 to clinch the league title! Almost exactly half a lifetime ago for me

We still have to play a game tomorrow where the result decides if they give us the trophy or not.
